Permalink Reply by Colin P. on February 16, 2011 at 3:50pm "Crybaby" is a complicated song. But really has nothing to do with Industry execs. Cuz he is talking about "washed up rappers" complaining about HipHop being dead, but he is also saying...quit hatin on people tryin to get money! if they are doin their thing, then you do yours. So he has to have someone or something in mind who would make him say "what you crying bout?" when he writes the song.

hes still not hating on the artists specifically. his point is that the people who run the industry dont know talent...its not the artists' fault and he knows that. listen to fuckin crybaby it proves everyone here's point
Colin P. said:he WAS talking about someone. In "FTI" he says something like, "you hate file sharin cuz your shit is wack...sampled yo cd, listened and it was cheesy. No cable box for your tv, no label watch for your breezy..." he then goes on to rip on the execs but also says "your artists are the farthest from the hardest"....these lyrics seem to be shots at artists that are un-named who were part of those record labels.
So while it was mostly anger directed at the record execs, there were artists on those labels that Tech obviously had issues with being signed.
Cole said:none. you. dumbass. he was talking about the INDUSTRY. record executives, radio DJs, PDs, MTV and other music stations, the people who werent giving him the time of day. it has never ever ever been about the artists
Greg said:Ok I have a question... What artists was tech n9ne talkin about when he said FTI? Just curious
Permalink Reply by Nick Cherry on February 16, 2011 at 4:01pm he said on twitter yesterday two of the song names
"I LOVE MUSIC"
"if i could"
so add those yo.
and twizzy. i fucking feel you dude.. im so dissapointed in the features.. this album could be the greatest album ever made.. but when you add 10 minutes of complete annoying bullshit to it(guesstimate on how long other people will be singing total, assuming its only a 1 disc album).. theres no chance.
im almost more dissapointed that tpains on the album then wayne.. tpain deserves to fucking die for how much money hes made off of autotune..

Permalink Reply by Colin P. on February 16, 2011 at 5:01pm i agree. i dont think that he has a grudge against them, but he has to have specific names and situations in mind when speaking on the topic. While the lyrics may be general and a little vague, Tech is not. He doesnt just say something, just to say it.
But really i dont even know what we are talking about anymore or if we are even on opposing sides of the argument. LOL. This thread has become very convoluted...

thats what im sayin...thats exactly what crybaby is about. So in FTI, if he was hatin on other mainstream rappers, Crybaby would be a contradiction. FTI is strictly about the execs, and he just uses the shitty artists to prove how musically retarded the execs are. He still got nothin against the artists

Permalink Reply by Colin P. on February 16, 2011 at 5:11pm yea u right, i dont think artists should be defined by mainstream or underground anyway. it should simply be good or bad, which is opinion anyway so this whole subject is just irrelevent
