Seriously, there is so much bitchin and complaining on this damn site its ridiculous. This used to be my most searched site cuz I would come to get info on release dates and reading the articles on 9's success and it's taken a huge turn. I don't know if it's the old fans butt hurt cuz he evolves or the new fans who think it's cool to hop on the band wagon of FUCK MAINSTREAM SELLOUTS. I was upset to an extent but get over it. Just go pop in vintage tech if you can't deal with it.

just my two cents. This site is fucking annoying now.

Have a good day.

Tech has plenty of great songs about partying and about girls. For example, "Girl Crazy" is one of (in my opinion) Tech's best songs, and it's about women. I could say the same for Caribou Lou and Like Yeah are great party songs. He is very able to make great songs about women and partying IF that's what he wants to talk about. All the songs I mentioned are structured very well, lyrically on point, and sound amazing even though they are limited to simple subjects such as women and partying.

Now you take his recent songs about the SAME subjects and they are simply not up to par with what he's released in the past, and that is a fact. If you dissect his songs they are less creative, not as lyrical, and the hooks don't sound as good.

I love Tech's music no matter what subject he talks about, but with the 2 most recent releases KF and EBAH they don't stand up to his previous releases, I don't know anyone who will dispute that either. Just compare them and you'll see for yourself. It sounds like he is putting less work into songs creatively and putting out music just to put it out. OR maybe it's because he's not on drugs anymore, because some of the best music he's ever made was when he was on ecstacy.

Just an honest opinion from a die hard Tech fan who really wants him to succeed and continue to make classic songs/albums. Unfortunately that isn't happening.

I actually completely understand this because I feel like even when Tech does shit like Don't Tweet This, it's still quote-unquote "strange" in the sense that, yeah the content matter is party 'n all that bullshit. But the flow and the beat were totally Tech. I still didn't like the song, but in that respect yeah, that's another reason I don't think Tech has sold out. Even though he's talking about some of the same shit over 'n over, he still sounds like himself for the most part imo.

I don't expect Tech to always make dark music and just because he raps about partying it don't mean he sold out. To me selling out means changing your style of rap to fit the mainstream. Tech still raps Midwest and as long as he sounds Midwest I will buy his shit. When Midwest artists try to sound east or west coast, that's when I stop supporting them. Tech and most other artists on Strange keeping it Middle, that Kansas City sound is still there. As far as the lyrics go, let him rap about he wants, he is an artist its his choice, I like the darker songs, but I ain't tripping if he will do it less.
