Everyone go here and vote for Tech, and thankfully he is already winning this poll by a good margin

"As we take today to celebrate our nation’s day of independence, it’s only right that we also pay tribute to Hip-Hop’s crop of independent emcees. Sans the support and deep pockets of a major, these artists have managed to thrive, both as mainstream acts and those with niche followings. Whether it’s from touring, selling merchandise, or moving units, succeeding in the independent grind is no easy feat. So enjoy your 4th of July and join us as we tip our hats to the Top 30 Independent Artists in the Game. — XXL Staff"

It says "Top 30 Independant Artists". My understand is that it's someone who's made a difference to the independant grind, someone who's achieved something that's very difficult for an indie artist. Surely it has to be Tech N9ne? Stats don't lie after all.

I think Tech gets plenty of praise for being #1 independent rapper in terms of his empire.

GHO5T

Macklemore should be up there.

Tech N9ne Speaks On R.A. The Rugged Man, ‘Holla-Loo-Yuh’, Not Giving A F*ck [VIDEO]

When it comes to emcees other than Tech N9ne that are quick-spitting, hyper-intricate, and actually have something to say, it’s pretty much impossible to leave R.A. The Rugged Man’s name out of that short list, so it comes as no surprise that the hip hop Gods eventually brought the two together. On “Holla Loo Yuh” [...]
