Why do people keep trashing Tech material on TRTN?

I for one think anything he does is a masterpiece, But everybody on here says things about his vocal changes, his flow, his (newer) lyrcis, his collabs, and his image. Tech does what Tech does. Let him do him. Don't discriminate over how he does his own stuff. He doesn't point his music directly at you, He makes it for EVERYONE that understands. So just sit back and enjoy the music. Listen to his story within the lyrics. It doesn't matter who he has on the track, who produces the track, or who makes the beat. As long as we all know Tech is doing Tech and not trying to rip off of Lil B or 50 Tyson, It's all good.

I absolutely agree 100% Duke. Couldnt have said it any better myself, good shit man

Personally I think Techs music has become somewhat redundant. I find myself skipping over tracks on my ipod. Not because the tracks are bad . Hell ,he is my favorite rapper but nothing really sticks out and warrants me to rape the rewind button aside from a handfull of tracks. His flow and delivery is onpoint as usual. Lyrically and conceptually we as fans are seeing a pattern that is repeated on every recent album that is getting tiresome in my opinion. A tech album always starts out with the a couple tracks about strange itself and how dope they/he is.  Followed by some more tracks where he basically does the same. (raps about rap) then off to the lovely ole party /hoes on my dick tracks . Peppered with a couple of introspective tracks which i love but at the same time most of them are about rapping and his career. If anything Tech has always stayed tru to himself through his music which is a double edged sword. If all he does is eat, sleep ,shit and breathe strange music and touring, then thats all we're going to hear about. Techs work ethic has shaped his music into what it is today and imo  it has become predictable. All that accompanied with   200 shows a year ,all the guest spots on interviews and other marketing obligations and a collab album and an ep every single year has made him the hardest working man in hiphop but it has also affected the overall quality of his artistry. It seems as if every album he releases has a million collabs from ppl just to fill in those two empty verse slots  to save time on a track that has to be finished by X date. Not saying all the collabs are wack but a lot of the time they just cant keep up. I think an ep ,a collab album and a solo every year from the man is too much music in the first place. Saturation is something that we see in the mainstream over and over again. It happens when an artist does a million songs in a year or when a fan downloads five albums a week. The music becomes forgettable and its on to the next.  Perfect example of that is exactly what happens on this site after every release. Tech album will leak or drop and day later theres a million threads about  what Techs next album will be or what date it will be  released!!!!!

Thats fuckin ridiculous imo. Half of it is because ppl have become spoiled to the point that all they care about is the

"next "release  and the other half might be because strange is modeled that way and doing anything less means less money. So if its money first then artistry ,then by all means carry on big homie cause that shit is apparently working.

If its artistry first then i really wish tech would just take time off of all this touring bullshit and live life a little, come back and shsow us his vision through some different lenses. Nawmsayin?????

Again this is all just my opinion. What the fuck do i know anyway. IM just a fan whose been  dropping cash supporting this strange movement since 98.  I deserve to have an opinion. This isnt any hate what soever. So if anyone gets mad #sorrynshit

Alot of you are acting as if the recent Tech N9ne projects put out have been drastically below par trash... Get your fucking minds right and start to appreciate what you're given instead of focusing on what more you want. A6A7 and WTS were both elite original works of art in their own right. To the left you have fans nitpicking A6A7 for having too many major guest features and more mainstream appealing instrumentals. To the right you have fans nitpicking WTS for being quickly pieced together and over-saturating his musical catalogue. There's really no pleasing everybody nor should Tech be obligated to. As much as he does for his fans (i.e. multiple LPs and EPs per year, record breaking tours with meet and greets prior to each, performing for the troops free of charge overseas, and signing phenomenal new acts to satisfy everyone's musical taste) you would think conversations like this wouldn't even take place. At the end of the day Tech will continue to conduct business in the fashion he sees fit and create the music he's inclined to. When he says he's the complete technique of rhyme there's really no bullshit there. He's able to incorporate so many different styles and sounds within his work that the possibilities are truly endless. For someone to sit back behind a computer screen and bitch about his newer material not sounding a certain way or sounding too much like something they're unsure about is absurd to me. Tech's never disappointed us by not delivering before so I don't know why some of you would even start to think that he's about to, have a little faith in YOUR artist. Just STFU and enjoy the music you claim to support or please gladly GTFO by all means!

Sorry N' Shit

If you think everything Tech does is a masterpiece, that's your opinion, I can respect that, I disagree entirely but it's w/e. But me thinking otherwise is far from discriminating. Can you tell me why "Paper" or "Enjoy" or "You Owe Like Pookie" are masterpieces? And please don't say because it's Tech doing Tech. A lot of artists are real, that doesn't make shit good or a masterpiece, which is a REALLY strong term, it's not meant to just be thrown around. I'll never knock an artist for coming from the heart, but that doesn't mean I have to like or listen to that artist. Imagine a singer who sings songs of losing his family, being broke, etc. but he's consistently off-pitch. He's doing him but that doesn't make it "all good". Maybe I'm missing something but if that's the case then maybe you failed to mention something in your post. You ask for us to "just enjoy the music" but that's the problem, maybe some of the music we just don't enjoy, which I think means you're missing the point...

BTW, I think Tech's lyricism is only getting better, I'm just tired of songs like "My Favorite", "Get Ya Head Right", "Creepin'" etc. bringing an album down, it's a lot to ask for but can't we just get an album full of songs on the caliber of "Red Nose", "Come Gangsta", "This Ring", "He's A Mental Giant", etc., I mean, he has released enough songs over the years that are that good to make at least one album already. If he can put out something of that quality full of original music and make it cohesive then Tech can FINALLY have a "masterpiece" imo.

Whoever posted that YouTube comment is right. Its one thing if you actually, truly believe that everything Tech has ever done is a masterpiece. But if you don't have that opinion, then dont fake it and act like everything is good. Artists grow from feedback, and if fans refuse to give negative feedback as well as positive feedback then an artist wont grow. True Tech fans give their honest opinion.

"I'm the true Tech fan here because I can criticize and reject some of his music, that's why he's my favorite rapper."

I'm like, BULLSHIT! Tech's MY favorite rapper because every single song he puts out is fucking GREAT! Nothing he has released so far is bad whatsoever. And practically all of the unreleased stuff is on the same caliber as the music he's deliberately put out.

Duke is right. Tech DOES do a lot for his fans.... but I think he just does it too much at this point. He really does need to take a small break and let the rest of Strange shine

True, I just don't feel that way. Also true that some of his songs lately haven't exactly been perfect. But I still like them and listen to them. Yet if you reject your favorite artist's music then why is he/she your favorite artist? That's the part I don't get..

Because I recognize that nobodies perfect. I dont think that any of my favorite artists are flawless.

It was a facepalm of epic proportion.

You're a true fan because you're a yes man and will agree to everything he does, even if there's something that could be fixed, something that could make him better if pointed out? Cool.

I have said before, music is personal opinion based, there is no right or wrong answer, personally with Tech's music, IMO his progression has seen his stuff gradually lose personality from track to track, with Tech's earlier stuff I could individualize tracks with their own story and personality now with his later releases Im finding myself individualizing albums instead.
