Why do people keep trashing Tech material on TRTN?

I for one think anything he does is a masterpiece, But everybody on here says things about his vocal changes, his flow, his (newer) lyrcis, his collabs, and his image. Tech does what Tech does. Let him do him. Don't discriminate over how he does his own stuff. He doesn't point his music directly at you, He makes it for EVERYONE that understands. So just sit back and enjoy the music. Listen to his story within the lyrics. It doesn't matter who he has on the track, who produces the track, or who makes the beat. As long as we all know Tech is doing Tech and not trying to rip off of Lil B or 50 Tyson, It's all good.

Amac you're guilty of all the same shit you're accusing homie of doing. You're putting words in the mouths of people who obviously have a different opinion than you. Not everyone thinks techs recent work was the highlight of 2011 lol, some of us don't compare techs work to every other artist on the market. some of us gage his Work on what he himself is capable of. And some of us think his work has lost a bit of creativity. Face it Bruh, he actually rapped about over eating for crying out loud. Its not about losing faith in our favorite artiest. were just saying that his work schedule is affecting his recent work. Not everyone shares the same opinion as you bro. No one is right and no one is wrong.

The song was called "My Favorite" though, and he was rapping about his favorite thing to do.. Which is apparently eating Italian food Lol Honestly though.. If people feel like every single song Tech has ever done, is pure genius, then you need to stop using Techs genitals as a trampoline cause that's just ridiculous. He is my favorite rapper, but like every other artist in the world, he has good and bad songs. Doesnt mean were hating. If every one just said, Oh every single song Tech puts out is amazing! He cant make a  bad song!... Then I feel like he would start to slack cause he could feel like his fans will love anything he does. Pretty sure that's already happened with this one rapper, who's name escapes my mind right now.

Tech is my favorite, and his worst verses are still better than most other rappers best efforts. That said, the work ethic that got him where he is now, is affecting his music. Some of it is rushed, and with all the shit he's got going on, I can see how it would be hard to add in the diversity he's known for.

On the other hand,It's hard to make money on albums without tours (esp. with you fuckers that dl and then don't buy the album if you like it), but with a big enough fanbase, it can be done. Plus a lot of people appreciate all the touring he does, and a lot of people depend on Tech to do so in order to feed their own family. So I see both sides and neither are wrong.

I hope it's a means to an end though. Like Dave Chappelle. Know how much is enough and get out when you reach it. If he grinds for a few more years, then hopefully he will be in a position to take the time from touring and focus only on the music and his family.

Either way, he has to do what's best for him and his family. As long as Tech puts out music, I will support. I just hope he has an exit plan and it involves more music and less music related things.

If its artistry first then i really wish tech would just take time off of all this touring bullshit and live life a little, come back and shsow us his vision through some different lenses. Nawmsayin?????

Again this is all just my opinion. What the fuck do i know anyway. IM just a fan whose been  dropping cash supporting this strange movement since 98.  I deserve to have an opinion. This isnt any hate what soever. So if anyone gets mad #sorrynshit

I completely agree that everyone should have their own opinions and musical taste, I'm not against that at all. I didn't put words in anybody's mouth I was just asking why people were downplaying his newer work. I never said nor do I think Tech's perfect whatsoever. He has his flaws just like any other Hip Hop artist. But I feel that if people hear even merely a couple of average songs on an album now they automatically think Tech's bombarding downhill when that's not necessarily the case in my opinion. There is plenty of awesome material on all of his newer projects as well that more than balance out a few decent songs that are still noteworthy in one way or another. Tech reflects his life through his music so when discussing "My Favorite" I really don't see the issue with that concept. Gluttony is actually a pretty crazy original topic that most emcees wouldn't touch because they need to uphold some type of persona while Tech's only concerned with keeping it real. I guess that's how I see it in my eyes if you're trying to understand where I'm coming from. If the man wants to create certain songs based upon his life who are you to tell him not to? It's either hit or miss in all reality, you're not required to love all of Tech's music that is released. I just happen to enjoy most of it, that's the difference.

Also, I don't believe in over saturation. I want as many tracks as possible. Even if some I don't like. Pac recorded tons of shit. A lot of it rushed, and some not that good, bit I'm really glad he did.

shit, the un released pac tracks he had that were somehow stolen and released on 97 were fuckin Timeless imo, so many topics so much diversity, his mom of course butchered all that work over the past decade with half assed production but to compare tech with pac is ridiculous imo, not even close imo

Personaly,I like tech cause he does that dark shit.....or did. Havnt gotten 2much of that from him on the last couple albums.Thank god for Lynch and prozak.techs flow is better than ever.Just wish he'd use it on some dark, sick shit.....for fucks sake on that song he did with lynch and prozak he's rappin about food.

lol, no way juggalos are all like that, u wont catch me bumpin' an ABK or Boondox album ever

David said:

Good points from everbody.  Ive been satisfied with his albums lately. But Im worried his fanbase is following the juggalo route, which is you automatically like and support anything with a strange logo on it. Over time the effort in the music will go downhill, because well hes gonna think " Fuck it they'll buy my shit any damn way".

No musical group or artist is perfect except for Pink Floyd!!!! :)

tech n9ne is G.O.A.T. IMO

but not ALL his songs r good.

This hits the nail on the head perfect, btw look at what happened when tech took a break after Absolute power... pure genius when he came back with Everready

Personally I think Techs music has become somewhat redundant. I find myself skipping over tracks on my ipod. Not because the tracks are bad . Hell ,he is my favorite rapper but nothing really sticks out and warrants me to rape the rewind button aside from a handfull of tracks. His flow and delivery is onpoint as usual. Lyrically and conceptually we as fans are seeing a pattern that is repeated on every recent album that is getting tiresome in my opinion. A tech album always starts out with the a couple tracks about strange itself and how dope they/he is.  Followed by some more tracks where he basically does the same. (raps about rap) then off to the lovely ole party /hoes on my dick tracks . Peppered with a couple of introspective tracks which i love but at the same time most of them are about rapping and his career. If anything Tech has always stayed tru to himself through his music which is a double edged sword. If all he does is eat, sleep ,shit and breathe strange music and touring, then thats all we're going to hear about. Techs work ethic has shaped his music into what it is today and imo  it has become predictable. All that accompanied with   200 shows a year ,all the guest spots on interviews and other marketing obligations and a collab album and an ep every single year has made him the hardest working man in hiphop but it has also affected the overall quality of his artistry. It seems as if every album he releases has a million collabs from ppl just to fill in those two empty verse slots  to save time on a track that has to be finished by X date. Not saying all the collabs are wack but a lot of the time they just cant keep up. I think an ep ,a collab album and a solo every year from the man is too much music in the first place. Saturation is something that we see in the mainstream over and over again. It happens when an artist does a million songs in a year or when a fan downloads five albums a week. The music becomes forgettable and its on to the next.  Perfect example of that is exactly what happens on this site after every release. Tech album will leak or drop and day later theres a million threads about  what Techs next album will be or what date it will be  released!!!!!

Thats fuckin ridiculous imo. Half of it is because ppl have become spoiled to the point that all they care about is the

"next "release  and the other half might be because strange is modeled that way and doing anything less means less money. So if its money first then artistry ,then by all means carry on big homie cause that shit is apparently working.

If its artistry first then i really wish tech would just take time off of all this touring bullshit and live life a little, come back and shsow us his vision through some different lenses. Nawmsayin?????

Didn't read all of it, but the part about how his lyrics are getting redundant is precisely how I feel.
