I for one think anything he does is a masterpiece, But everybody on here says things about his vocal changes, his flow, his (newer) lyrcis, his collabs, and his image. Tech does what Tech does. Let him do him. Don't discriminate over how he does his own stuff. He doesn't point his music directly at you, He makes it for EVERYONE that understands. So just sit back and enjoy the music. Listen to his story within the lyrics. It doesn't matter who he has on the track, who produces the track, or who makes the beat. As long as we all know Tech is doing Tech and not trying to rip off of Lil B or 50 Tyson, It's all good.

Permalink Reply by Kevin on February 9, 2012 at 6:33pm I saw a YouTube comment saying:
"I'm the true Tech fan here because I can criticize and reject some of his music, that's why he's my favorite rapper."
I'm like, BULLSHIT! Tech's MY favorite rapper because every single song he puts out is fucking GREAT! Nothing he has released so far is bad whatsoever. And practically all of the unreleased stuff is on the same caliber as the music he's deliberately put out.
Permalink Reply by Dukecityspecialist on February 9, 2012 at 6:58pm Personally I think Techs music has become somewhat redundant. I find myself skipping over tracks on my ipod. Not because the tracks are bad . Hell ,he is my favorite rapper but nothing really sticks out and warrants me to rape the rewind button aside from a handfull of tracks. His flow and delivery is onpoint as usual. Lyrically and conceptually we as fans are seeing a pattern that is repeated on every recent album that is getting tiresome in my opinion. A tech album always starts out with the a couple tracks about strange itself and how dope they/he is. Followed by some more tracks where he basically does the same. (raps about rap) then off to the lovely ole party /hoes on my dick tracks . Peppered with a couple of introspective tracks which i love but at the same time most of them are about rapping and his career. If anything Tech has always stayed tru to himself through his music which is a double edged sword. If all he does is eat, sleep ,shit and breathe strange music and touring, then thats all we're going to hear about. Techs work ethic has shaped his music into what it is today and imo it has become predictable. All that accompanied with 200 shows a year ,all the guest spots on interviews and other marketing obligations and a collab album and an ep every single year has made him the hardest working man in hiphop but it has also affected the overall quality of his artistry. It seems as if every album he releases has a million collabs from ppl just to fill in those two empty verse slots to save time on a track that has to be finished by X date. Not saying all the collabs are wack but a lot of the time they just cant keep up. I think an ep ,a collab album and a solo every year from the man is too much music in the first place. Saturation is something that we see in the mainstream over and over again. It happens when an artist does a million songs in a year or when a fan downloads five albums a week. The music becomes forgettable and its on to the next. Perfect example of that is exactly what happens on this site after every release. Tech album will leak or drop and day later theres a million threads about what Techs next album will be or what date it will be released!!!!!
Thats fuckin ridiculous imo. Half of it is because ppl have become spoiled to the point that all they care about is the
"next "release and the other half might be because strange is modeled that way and doing anything less means less money. So if its money first then artistry ,then by all means carry on big homie cause that shit is apparently working.
If its artistry first then i really wish tech would just take time off of all this touring bullshit and live life a little, come back and shsow us his vision through some different lenses. Nawmsayin?????
Again this is all just my opinion. What the fuck do i know anyway. IM just a fan whose been dropping cash supporting this strange movement since 98. I deserve to have an opinion. This isnt any hate what soever. So if anyone gets mad #sorrynshit

Permalink Reply by B@$$EL on February 9, 2012 at 7:32pm This. Completely. As much as I hate admitting it, Tech's stuff is pretty run down to the ground. Like there is only so much that a normal, opinionated person can handle before they get bored and start realizing the redundancy in a finished product, after finished product, after finished product . . . point being, I seriously think Tech should take some time off to flourish in his achievements. That will give him the opportunity to re-evaluate his career, and make a more wise decision on what should be his next business move. And, really, it is a business move, because no one produces as many records in a finite amount of time as Tech and still calls it artistry. . .Its run-down! Go back to your roots of being inspired and hurt by living the life, and then go on from there. We want FUCKING art!!!

Permalink Reply by Cody Sipe on February 9, 2012 at 7:43pm Your right to a certain extent, but im sure tech, Along with any other artist can appreciate criticism as well as praise. Tech's gonna do tech regardless thats why he is my favourite artist. He's A "true artist", true to himself and his fans and I hope he embraces the negatives along with the positives to ultimatley become a better artist, Like adding fuel to the fire.
Permalink Reply by B@$$EL on February 9, 2012 at 7:48pm Exactly. Especially when everyone is looking at him, and judging his music, and following his releases. It will get to the point that everyone else will start to see his redundancy after a few album releases, and he can be sent down the river like the rest of the mainstream artists who couldn't keep up. Actually, if anything, taking time off now can do wonders to Techs career, in the sense that, people would be anticipating something fresh and bangin', and after a year or so off, Tech would deliver.
