tthis thread has been bothering me all day. i still cant believe all the fucking people on here saying tech is bette than 2pac, get the fuck off of techs dick. tech is a fucking beast, one of the best today, but no one has even came close to 2pac. he was the realist motha fucker in the rap game, everything form his flow, to his style, to his lyrics, and the meaning behind it all. on top of the message he sent in his music. seriously, u all musta been born under a roof of shitty music when u were growing up. go back and listen to all of pacs shit and get off techs fucking dick.
Can't compare both. Pac is a poet. Tech is a spitmaster.
tech and pac are on the same level!! both are the very best ever!!....ehh piggie, i can live without ever listening 2 his music, i own none of his music, and never will, his beefin with pac did it 4 me, i ride with pac and tech 4evr, fuck piggie!..dont really care bout east coast rap, never have...its all bout the west and midwest 4 me!
yes tech is better than biggie! tupac, i don't know! its a tie to me! but brotha lynch is better than all 3 even though his name is not mentioned!!
Doesnt change the fact that they both got way more hyped up than they should.

Tupac didn't become overrated until he died. Just like every other famous person.

Not a Pac or Biggie fan.
Both, even though they're decent, have been overrated for a long time.

In my personal opinion, and I've always thought this (since I was younger).... It goes (from best to worst) Tech, Biggie, Pac. I'm not the biggest Pac fan, and I think Biggie killed him lyrically. I realize no one agrees, but idgaf.
Or 2Pac isn't as good as everyone says he is.

Both got way more hyped up then they should??? In what sense are you talking about?Maybe if they were put on numerous "greatest lyricists of all time" lists i could see your point. But when it comes to timeless music then by no means are they overrated. There is a HUGE difference between a great lyricist and a rap artist.I think ppl forget to seperate the two.Lyrically both Big and pac have been outshined on thier tracks but that doesnt nesseciarily mean that who ever can rhyme more complex than them is the better artist.Take method man for example. He is easily the more complex artist when you consider the literal dynamics of rhyming. But when it comes to emotional complexity and cultural impact ,it becomes a no brainer that Pac has meth by a long shot.Ppl forget that Pac was able to write and record hiphops arguably most flawless and most successful double disk lp in hiphop history in only 2 weeks. Not to mention the rest of his catalogue which includes classic upon classic release.Jay z,outkast and a handfull of other artists have been able to release top calibur albums within thier careers as consistently as Pac but pac's entry and stay into the limelight only lasted about 4 to 5 years untill his death.Thats insane if you ask me.Lemme use one of your favorite mc's in the same way.Artists like the entire slaughterhouse rap group are more complex rhymers than Brother Ali if you break down the structure of thier rhymes into the basic categories like alliteration, wordplay, metaphors, similies, and types of delivery. But when it comes down to who is better at making full rap albums with better concepts ,deeper/cultural importance and who is basically sonically superior? Then my money is spent on Brother Ali first and foremost. But music is all personal preference and thats just my opinion.

2Pac hands down

IDK maybe some of yall where too young when Pac was alive or something. Pac spoke from his heart with emotion he was a poet who put it into music. Dont get me wrong, Tech is one of my few favs he puts rythm and melodies together like no other (aside from early Bone). I do agree Pac and Big got "over rated" after their deaths because that drew in all the fake fans like ppl who think "Tech N9ne is a great group" fucktards on their nuts.

to each their own...,
I'm definitely not talking about them being timeless, or the impact they've made.
Just the fact that they are on way too many "G.O.A.T." lists, in my opinion.
