Permalink Reply by Will on August 27, 2012 at 1:55pm I'm not sure anymore, but I like to think Mac Lethal. They had a few meetings a few months ago and they keep things under wraps for a while. Mac has a great work ethic and independent knowledge. When he went around the country into meetings, I think in the end, he got a few endorsements and decided to stay independent bc the people he met with were only trying to make money, didn't understand the music, and wanted to cash in on the sensation when he had that big video. Idk if he's secretly signed, but I really hope so. They usually do a few songs before signing someone it seems though.
JL seems like the next most likely.

Permalink Reply by Crooked Smile on August 27, 2012 at 5:30pm well options on the table would be JL of B.Hood (yes B.hoos is a group but Jl is making himself known as a solo emcee) Dirty worms since they are the live band behind Kabosh. then you got Aqualeo all strong possabilties, The signing tend to stay under wraps because its legal red tape to make sure its a contract that works in the favor of the artist and label whether its a 1 deal album (cognito/grave plott) or what..The other thing is Tech and Travis still have yet to OFFICIALLY sign a woman singer or rapper, and Liz Suwandi, Sundae are top possabilities, if Shawnna signed itd be a direct konnect to chi town but you gotta remember Twista is also lookin for distribution for his "GM" brand, could he link a distro deal where solo material is dropped via strange? anything is possible, there are alot of acts, and the label is currently already "large" by indepdenant standards much like suburban noize was. any act on strange is going to have certain "luxuries" such as possible large tour opps, but the artists are in charge of making their name stand out headlining booking their own shows, they have ot have creative inpout and be able to contribute ways and alternative means to make and have their name heard other than fb mixtapes, and eps are great ways to get music out but people also need ot be given a way to be in touch.
