one more thing.........LOLOMGWTFBBQ......asking this quesiton on a tech website where most of the people on this site dont listen to alot of hip hop
IMO...nobody cause he's his own King of his own World...nobody could touch him...lyrically,flow,work ethic, image, story etc...he's everywhere
LOL, its funny how a topic never stays on the actual topic it was intended, lol, people here allways end up fighting over some stupid shit, it cracks me up, lol.

IMO Tech is the best, BLH is close second

I think Tech is the best, BUT for the sake of argument: Mike Shinoda (in case you dont know, he's the rapper from Linkin Park and Fort Minor). I'm looking at this matchup from an "overall skill" standpoint. Now Tech obviously has him beat on flow and probably on lyrics, although Shinoda can hold his own on both. But Shinoda can do it all. He can rap and sing. He plays guitar and piano. He has produced all Linkin Park's albums. And not only did he produce every track on his Fort Minor album ("The Rising Tied", extremely underrated album), he actually played every instrument used in making the beats. He also did all the mixing engineering for all those albums. He does all the album artwork and other art for his projects, and his artwork has been used for large gallery art shows.

Basically, the whole point of that was to show how although Tech is an amazing rapper, his (and the majority of rappers) overall musical talent pales in comparison to other artists
you are also leaving out. that tech started his own label from ground up. including merch, booking his shows, getting distribution contracts, and features for his album. all on his on. not saying shinoda doesnt cause i dont know much about him, but u should at least thrown that in there if u are talking about everything outside of rapping.

No competition sounds right to me.....how does someone become number one independent artist in the world without video or radio...just touring and merch saleslolol.....techs killing the industry with wordslol.....
Mike Shinoda? Are you really putting him in the arguement of best rapper? It is obvious that many of you don't know a whole lot about rap. The only thing I've listened to for the past 25+ years has been rap and this is an impossible question to answer. Do you judge the best rapper on influence, album sales, flow, lyrics, overall music ability and so on. There is always the element of personal tastes also. I think Tech is definitely in the top 5 (mine at least) but there is no true clear cut answer. But Mike Shinoda? GTFO with that bull.
i  can't tell you really because i grew up listening to older rap like tupac, biggie, DMX and then i had this lil wayne/ mainstream phase and the music was so boring there was no real rap to me and then my brother bought a tech song and i was blown away even after listening to tupac and biggie and DMX so i would put tech at the top
Immortal Tech is no where near tech's level if anyone it would be either nas or eminem and even they aren't at his level.

not better but on the same level.. well immortal technique or blh

dude wasnt really saying shinoda is a better rapper than tech. he was stating other shit that he does other than rap that makes him a good "musician" all around but lyrically...no he is nowhere near tech. and it was just one guy that mentioned him so i dont know where u get "many of you dont know a whole lot about rap" from.

Many does not mean all so don't take offense if it doesn't apply to you, no harm intended. Many folks on here are more Tech fans than they are rap fans so that is where I was coming from. I guess I understand the whole Shinoda thing better now but it still makes no sense to me. I am just a fan of rap and not much else. There are a few groups of other genres that I like but I love rap music and some people on this site have no clue about the true pioneers of rap.
