Ok, first of, I mean no disrespect, but 90% of you guys are.... no good. I am sure almost everyone on here hates Wayne, just as I do. However, half of you guys are using some LAZY ass words that Wayne would. And the dudes that are good, have like, a little Tech style in there. Or some Em style in there. Come on man, it's cool to have an influence, but not to SOUND like them. Again no disrespect, just the truth. I'll post some of my shit here soon.

Then you need some reading skills :) Does wayne sound like em or tech? No. Does every rapper sound the same? No. Get your own style, or dont make music. There is already a Tech, already an Em, already a Wayne, no one wants to hear a knockoff.

I don't hate Wayne...I don't hate nobody. I'm in my own world. I congratulate Wayne for being successful, after all, there are far worse people than him. And I'm the first to admit my shit i posted is a lil sloppy, but not as bad as some others.... But I'm already working on my new shit...Separating yourself from your influences can be difficult, especially when starting out.
but I am steppin' my game up and really trying to separate myself from my influences.

Agreed, to an extent... but using your same arguement there were alot of cats doin double time and multis before tech and em were. You can ever here Tech reference and use song lyrics from cat he was influenced by. So are you suggesting Tech give it up as well?

Side note: I actually like your music, so keep it up. And no, I do not think he should give it up. Why? Because he does not have the same flow, style, or choice of words as anyone. He may have been influenced yes. However he did not imitate it to the T.

so out of curiosity, of the people in the thread, who do you feel is influenced and who do you feel is imitating? And then out of those influenced, are their influence too strong to be considered their own style?
