especially NDAA, that's the one I'm more worried about, especially with rumors circulating that Obama pushed it to be more powerful.

I think what Siikez is trying to do is raise awareness among us Americans becuz a lot probably don't know. I was gonna write up a big rant on why it is both yours and my problem as well as every American's but I'm not sure I'm educated on the matter enough. I seriously suggest you research what these SOPA, PIPA and NDAA bills give our gov't the power to do if they pass the White House and also research and look into the bi-partisan corruption that's going on in our country with bankers, big corporations, the 1%, etc. and decide whether or not it's your problem. America is going down a scary road right now 'n the last thing we need are ignorant and apathetic citizens who will just stand by and live with it and let it happen.

I just know that I have no power over what's going on in this country. They are fucking us but if I let that bs get to me all the time, I'd just be one unhappy individual. I've learned to be happy with what I have at the current moment and to focus on my own life. America has let all this shit happen to itself, not my problem, and definitely not anyone in australia's. I can't leave this country because I'm a felon, so I've accepted that and learned to live without caring about what doesn't directly affect me. It's just my opinion on the matter. And I feel that it's disrespectful for someone in another country telling me I'm fucked up cuz I'm an American. I don't play into your stereotype bullshit, but if I did, I could start at a number of other places. How about race? I'm glad that siikez is pro-active enough to complain about someone else's problems, but isn't that really all your doing? Crying about a problem that is not your own on a forum? I bet that more than 75% of people on here don't even vote let alone get involved in anything more than a thread or respond to a Facebook post. This rant should give you enough reasons to understand where I'm coming from and hopefully confuse the rest of you. It's my opinion as an actual American citizen, who actually votes.

It does affect him. Despite being a small percentage of the world, the United States is possibly the largest influence on the internet. Besides don't you want up and coming artists from all arts and media to have a bigger chance for success? Youtube, Myspace, Facebook have brought so much talent to more people we don't even need record companies or their marketing schemes. Look at Hopsin, Tech, and other independent artists. You could argue their success is due to the fact that they can connect with so many individuals to get their name out there. Hopsin's Raw tour was put together by Funk Volume, fans, and promoters via Facebook.

I understand that awareness should be raised but calling America fucked on a Tech N9ne forum isn't gonna spark a revolution (not 100% sure, but close enough). The whole world is going down a scary road, you have to choose what you care about and I guess this is not hitting a nerve for me. It seems like every week there's something we can bitch about as citizens, or you can be that stand-up mother fucker who just bites the bullet and deals with it like a man would instead of complaining like a woman. I'm not aiming these remarks towards anyone in particular, I'm just saying you can do something about it or just talk/whine about it.

Yes, if you register after discharging parole. To leave the country you need a passport which means I would need my record expunged. For California, it takes 7 years without getting into trouble before you can go through that whole process.

You have completely missed the point 10 fold. I'm glad you were the only one to reply with a defeatist attitude. "Crying about a problem that is not my own on a forum", well firstly, the video owner is British, you don't have to be American to see what is going on, and that video has been spread over countless forums, as it should. If seeing it here was the first place you saw it, then I did my job. Although it is disheartening to see you take a kick-into-gear approach and crumble instead of standing up and fighting for your rights, before they are all taken away, it's good to see in this case you were the minority which is great. The reason my thread is called what it is, is because Americans are seen as some of the most proud "do-it-for-my-country" people. You do not have to fall to pieces when somebody tells you to wake up. It may look like complaining/whining to you, but every time this video is liked/favourited/embeded/watched, more will happen. 780,000 people have already seen it in 2 days. Surely for the sake of you and your family you can look past your "I can't change anything" attitude.

Our rights have slowly been being stripped away for about 50 years now. It's sad, most of our society is totally oblivious. People think just because this is America things like this will never happen, and they just lable it a conspiracy. The 4th branch of the government (media) has been used to keep us totally oblivious. The Occupy movements are a start. I have hope our country will change eventually. Shit, history repeats. Tyranny ALWAYS gets crushed by revolution and it always will. "Resistance to Tyranny is Obedience to God" - Thomas Jefferson.

Smoke and mirrors, Dagger and cloak...sleight of hand cast the eyes into oblivion as the sheep were led to slaughter...

NWO is upon us..This is the first public push they have made..The gov't knows they have over half of the country in thrall with possession, video games ,movies, and social statuses..The one thing they constantly over look is the thousands of us that know that there is a bigger game afoot..I wish i could stand up and fight for my rights...I wish i could rebel and join in the revolution...but sadly the revolution has yet to start and these bills they're passing are making it to where they have the RIGHT to take us into custody and lock us away..not even be a mesh of letters in a head line..just for believing in what our forefathers believed in..They blatantly disregard our bill of rights, constitution and our amendments and no one cares..and they've been doing it for a very long time.

It's time to wake up from your fantasy bullshit world and realize the reality and the magnitude of what ignorance of bliss has caused..America has fucked up and it's almost checkmate time...this just dosent affect us,it will affect the whole world..
Votes quit holding value when JFK was assassinated..He was the last true president of America..Now we're stuck with puppets.

This man is from another country and clearly gets it. He knows what it's about to be a man of your country and a part of this world. It's not just about you or I as an individual, it's about us as a society. If the scale of that thought depresses you then I don't know what to tell you. I'm gonna deal with this issue in a reasonable manner. I'll voice my opinion and be satisfied that I made it known. I won't have to look back and say, "oh man I wish I would have participated so the outcome would be in my favor"
