I know this will raise eyebrows, some negative and some positive but do you think T-Pain should and could possibly sign to Strange. Yes, you could say that "Oh he is MAINSTREAM, blah, blah, blah..." but if you listen to the song 'Suicide' off his album Epiphany, you might have a change of heart because that song is the type that Strange Music likes to touch up on. With him trying to leave Akon's record label to join YMCMB plus the fall out of signing a record deal with YMCMB, to being signed to RCA (according to Wikipedia, lol), could this mean he MIGHT sign to Strange? With all the collaborations with Tech and Krizz Kaliko as of recently, one may think that could be the case. Do you think if T-Pain was offered a contract with Strange Music would he accept? What would he bring to the table at Strange? Let the answers and arguments begin! Lol

i like it. his new mixtape has a lot of variety. his songs bout girls arent just songs about girls, he takes it deeper and more specific. his street songs are more introspective. i wouldnt mind tpain signing.

Listen to 'Suicide' by T-Pain and I'm sure if he was signed to Strange he would make real music just like this song.

i have his whole catalogue

Agreed, but I dont think thats why everyones replying like they are. The idea would just not happen.

I don't like most mainstream music either. I used to but until I started listening to Tech, I don't even bother listening to radio. But one artist that is mainstream that I don't mind listening to T-Pain because he is different. He isnt like the cookie cutter kind of rapper that tries to sound like Drake. He does his own thing but most people don't realize it. Look at Roger Troutman,he inhanced his singing voice too and the guy is a legend. Why is it wrong for T-Pain to do the same?? I can respect ones opinions and all but the guy shows love to every artist including the likes of Tech N9ne and Krizz Kaliko.
Sometimes you need to expect the unexpected. I think that there is a possibility that he wants to be part of a record label he feels comfortable in. By all the decisions he made as of late. Not trying to say its GOING TO HAPPEN. Just toying with the idea.

Honestly man, I don't think this is as far off as everyone is saying. Don't get me wrong, there is a 0% chance of this happening, BUT I see where you're coming from and here's why. It's not T-Pain in this situation that I'm focusing on, it's the concept of a BIG name artist having interest in Strange is what I'm buying. Tech's name is gettin there now, people know his name now, not HIM, but his name. Ever since "Look at Me Now" came out, a lot of people started tryin to step their speed game up. This is because these rappers realize chopping is probably gunna be the next, i hate to say this word, but fad with the mass public. And when I look at Strange's roster, I think they're gunna be the next big label in peoples eyes. If you know anything about music, and Pain does, he sees how much talent Strange has. He's already done stuff with Mayday, Tech, Kali. So is it THAT far fetched to say T-Pain as a free agent, wouldn't want to jump on to the next big name in labels, with talent to work with and COMPLETE creative control? I say no it's not that crazy, but still very very very unlikely.

And sometimes you have to be realistic lol. T-Pain has been one of the highest profile artists since he stepped on the scene. He's going to want a label that can afford to throw millions at him for promotion so he's stays on top with his popularity.
