I did not find any info in the search bar about this. All you weed smokers, or people who follow politics should know about this important piece of legislation. July 23, 2011: Ending Federal Marijuana Prohibition Act of 2011 or HR 2306 Introduced By congressman Ron Paul, would remove the schedule 1 label of marijuana, and make it a states decision on the drugs legal status. Prosecution from the federal government would only be allowed if an arrest was made to an individual transporting between to states borders. Contact your local representative and ecourage him to support HR 2306 today.
So what do you think? will the bill be passed? what are your thought on the bill? is there another way you would handle it? would it be beneficial for the drug to be legalized? i think this is a legitimate topic for political and general discussion...

"No income tax" doesn't mean "no taxes." It simply means the government wouldn't take money out of people's paychecks. There's other alternatives for collecting revenue, such as a national sales tax, to collect revenue proportional to consumption, and capital gains taxes, to collect revenue from dividends on investments.
Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security are all popular, but the movement to abolish them or drastically cut them is gaining a lot of strength, as shown by the rise in power of the Tea Party. Not saying it's an ideal solution, but, if the government were to abolish them, it could open to door to new replacement alternatives. Nobody's thought of anything close to an effective way to reform these three programs, so maybe starting from scratch could be a good idea. That's not really what Ron Paul is arguing for, but at least he might take us in the right direction.
Regardless, calling Ron Paul an idiot is not only an ad hominem attack, but completely incorrect. He is a medical doctor who received his M.D from Duke, one of the most effective grassroots fundraisers currently in the political community, and he predicted the bursting of the housing bubble back in 2002. You might not agree with his specific policy ideas, but at least he tries to shape his policies around the future as he sees it instead of the next election.

On another note, Ron Paul is an idiot. Explain how the US will work with 0% income tax. Explain how people will settle with the removal of Social Securty, Medicare and Medicaid, all of which are immensely popular?I mean he has some great positions, but overall he's an idiot, because it's clear he doesn't have a real deep grasp on the issues. I give him props here though because he's fighting for something that makes sense
