This cd goes hard. His old shit is immortal. You like it you buy it. New shit is futuristic and production is gigantic. I love it! He proves through his whole career drugs or no drugs, pain or not, he's tough and talented. You also have to remember this is a KCMO dedication album.
I love how people are trashing on him for being different from his old stuff and "changing" He is only doing what he WANTS to do, Yet if he hadn't of changed it up and kept doing his old shit people would complain that it's all the same and it's gotten boring.

I dont know HOW many times it's been said but guess what, If you dont like it, Don't buy it! Hell delete your account here and go listen to another artist who doesnt evolve and does this same shit cd after cd.
If you dont like it dont listen to it he cant please everyone. Come the fuck on hes almost forty and hes got to come out of his hole.

CD isn't that great no matter what way you cut it. That Harvey Dent track is an insult. Tech should make his mind up him fucking self what kind of music he wants to do. K.o.D. wasn't that great, and now neither is this disc. He's the one that went off on all that "Show Me A God" crybaby ass shit.
the funny thing is even tho this album may not be his best..ill still listen to it 10 out of 10 times over anyone else best shit. Tech is the man and even his "sub-par" shit is wayyy better than almost anyones best.
Have you heard the end of the song? It's not from that interview.

"If you don't like, the new shit, I mean, go buy the old shit."

The hook is "Want my old shit, buy my old album".

It's a Jay-Z line. I was playing devil's advocate. I'm sure Tech wasn't about to pay Jay-Z to sample his voice, just to lower the pitch.

How do you know? Did you raise the pitch on that part of the song? I'm not saying it is, but it could be. Shit like that is done often. Jay-Z's voice has been sampled for beats. i.e., Red Cafe's "I'm ill" track.

I wonder if that's an actual Jay Z vocal sample on that song...
Take it for what it is. Tech told everybody in every interview, if you only like the dark shit, then you won't like this album. He said it was his party album for KC. His album to be drunk, horny, and partying. And that's exactly what it is. As much as I love Tech's shit, shit like "Come Gangsta" or "KOD" aren't songs you play at a party. Especially if you plan on sleeping with any women. This entire album can be played at a party and it has something for everybody.

Great album.

If you don't like it, you cannot relate because you are a lonely, lonely virgin.
Agreed. He changes throughout each and every album. And he's said a fucking billion times that he writes his life. Of course shit is gonna change. These whiney fuckers should go listen to Soulja Boy and have fun listening to shitty music from now on.

Amen King Rasta
People have been saying Tech is "selling out" forever. I'm sure people heard Absolute Power and were like, "This is nothing like Anghellic waah waah waah". Now that's a classic. People said the same shit about Everready, and that's almost everybody's favorite album. People wanted darkness and he gave them KOD. People bitched. People wanted party shit and he gave them Mixed Plate. People bitched. People will always bitch because they have an unrealistic ideal of what Tech's music should sound like. Tech's music still sounds like Tech, so I'm good. Tech has always written about his life, and now he's living the good life.
Sorry man. I didn't mean that the sample in the song was at the end. And i don't think jay-z would do anything for tech. Jay-z fuckin blows. I've never been a big fan. He has the exact style all the time.

Exactly! Fuck all the haters! Tech has never let me down with a cd. I've been impressed with every single Strange album. The man has been rappin his heart out for people and all they wanna fuckin do is bitch about "i want darkness!", "I want this!" "I want that!". Just listen to the fuckin music and be happy.

Even though I havent heard this album yet Im gonna have to disagree with most ppl about "oh his old shit is better" and say that a lot of his newer material shits all over anghellic and absolute power ,the calm and thw worst, if thats what we are saying when we say his "old shit".

Everready was an album that instantly appealed to me without any getting used to whatso ever. If killer was cut to 1 cd with the key standout tracks left on their Im willing to go as far and say that killer would have been one of the dopest hiphop albums to drop in the past decade period.

Kod was very original in terms of concept and minus a couple of mis steps was pulled off just as dope as everready and killer. Absolute power was a dope ass album but the couple of songs on there that sucked were fuckin HORRIBLE, Like biancas and beatrices and "absolute power' itself fell short of glory and became very annoying. D12 fucked up she devil and made it a skip over. Anghellic was a dope ass album but the original with the stripclub song was well kinda weird. The thing about anghellic and even tech himself said is that his flow was very sloppy and off beat.
Ive come to expect collabos albums to be masogonistic and repetitive. Cause they all have been. But techs solo work is where its at for me.
