Glad you said something. I wasn't aware that it was an actual poll. And yeah I remember these polls from previous years. When I seen Kutt beat out Lynch in the voting I almost wanted to puke.. Shit is just to easy to rig.
And really now that Strange is so big they should really figure out a way to keep it to one vote per IP adress.

Some people are sharing votes for artists/songs/etc that aren't actually candidates in the voting lol..... I feel some of the people aren't actually clicking the links and voting and instead just sharing their thoughts. Which is fine I guess. I'm sharing who I actually voted for. I see what Matt did, though.

MVP: ¡Mayday! (Kaliko is also deserving)

Album - Take Me To Your Leader (Kickin' and Screamin' also deserving)

Music Video - YOLA (none of the candidates are all that good imo)

Verse - Tech on Kill Shit

Song - Hello Walls

Collab - Kill Shit (Strange March also deserving)

Beat - Badlands (Had no idea 808 Bendin was by Johnny Juliano until I saw the poll)

EP - Neh'mind (Thrift Store Halos also deserving)

Party Track - Abu Dhabi (WEAK year for party tracks from Strange)

Producer - Seven (Plex and Gianni also deserving, and why the hell is JMAC running away with that category?)

All in all these awards have really sucked every year theyve done them. There's always sketch ass voting that goes on, like Mac Lethal last year begging his followers to vote him for "Most Wanted" and steal that from people who we actually wanted Strange to sign, Kutt somehow winning MVP last year when he only released one meh EP, and a bunch of other crap.

Well, imo...

MVP: Some people just shouldnt be eligible. For example, this year Rittz and Jay Rock didnt release anything on the label, so they shouldnt even be up for the vote because it takes votes away from deserving artists.

Album - Fine

Music Video - Should just list all of them

Verse - This ones hard. I really don't know how to improve this, but it needs something. Because there are some great verses left out.

Song - Another hard one, idk how feasible it is to list every song released on the label in one year.

Collab - Hard again, outside of listing every non-solo track released in the year

Beat - Narrow it down to one the best beat for every producer used in the year, which obviously is extremely suggestive and hard to narrow down

EP - Fine

Party Track - Probably fine. Most every release on the label has one obvious party track that could be up for a vote.

Producer - Find some number of minimum tracks produced to be eligible for a vote

Clearly it's not easy to come up with candidates for some categories, but there might be a better way.

Open to suggestions for improvements next year guys. We do this for the fans and obviously, only so much we can do on our end. Would love to hear constructive feedback, and thank you for participating in it. I know the artists like to see the fans give them credit.

Ok your point about Rittz n Jay Rock is valid. But really Rittz is like rookie of the year. I was kinda putting him into the Strange category before he even signed..

Now another thing is yes Strange releases a ton of great tracks and collabs, but for the most part the board is usually able agree to point out the hits and stand out tracks.

I agree on listing all the vids. It's not so broad that it wouldn't work at this point..

MVP - Krizz Kaliko

Album - Shock Treatment

Music Video - Roaches

Verse - Tech "Kill Shit"

Song - "Hello Walls"

Collabo - "Kill Shit"

Beat - Eh... There are other beats that I enjoyed more than any of the listed options.

EP - Neh'mind OR 13

Party - Abu Dhabi

Producer - Seven

Shock Treatment? lol

MVP-Mayday but Kaliko is also worthy

Album-Take Me To Your Leader but Kickin and Screamin' is also good

Music Video-Million Miles Away or Yola

Verse-Money Trees

Song-Imprint, don't know why Klusterfuck is there

Collaboration- I voted dollar general since it was an outside of strange collab, but my fav song out of there nominations was it's over. Kill Shit and Strange March are good too though

Beat-808 and Bendin

EP-13 but i haven't listened to Neh'mind or all of Thrift Store Halos yet

Party Track-Don't Tweet This, Abu Dhabi is good too. Hardcore Bitches is coo

Producer-Plex Luthor and Giani Cash. I used to love Young Fyre's beats on the earlier albums don't know if they were so sick this year that he should be producer of year

This, what did he produce aside from rock yo head?

ohh, that's what he produced? wtf? how is he winning by so much when he produced that shitty beat?

Wowwwwwwwwwww I'm retarded. Kickin & Screamin. I guess I really do feel that Shock Treatment was a more appropriate title.

are you saying that about strange music videos in general?i was just saying they didn't have enough on the poll.

STRANGEgenius said:

there is enough videos IMO, i just want them to be better not just them rapping to a camera most of the time.

matt meyer said:

The only big concern is why the limited amount of music videos?

If Seven doesn't get producer of the year then that's an outrage.
