Hopefully Ecker made it through the night and will change this thread to something about marijuana.

It will be a total domino effect. Once one state does it the rest will follow. Wa. might get it done in Nov. too. With it being legalized, of course they will tax, better than jail and/or fines, and all that bullshit. By legalizing it, I think most people will grow their own. If not,the companies that don't fuck around, will see plenty of business. Look at microbreweries. Corporations will help usher this into federal law. As soon as they can get a piece of the pie, they will shower D.C with lobbyist money. 6years after the first state does it, the Feds will follow. If people don't like what the companies are selling, they will make their own. Which is preferred anyway. NJ shit won't be up and running until sometime in 2011. They voted to delay it. The states are trying to get ahead of legalization by passing MMJ but the balls rolling now. They waited too long. People won't settle anymore. We probably should of started our own thread? lol
dont you guys read!!!

I like the idea of legalization. But there is a lot of bad that comes with it. Once marijuana is legalized, it will be taxed. Look at cigarettes, here in NY 75% of the cost of cigarettes is tax. Pack of Newports costs 11 bucks in NYC. Marijuana will still be sold in bulk, but it will eventually be packaged like cigarettes. Buy a pack of joints for this price, a pack of blunts for that price. They're gonna start putting filler into marijuana just like they do with tobacco, just to cut corners to make more money. They're gonna put shit into it to get people addicted. Tobacco itself isn't all that addicting or dangerous, but all that chemical shit in there IS. But, it could go the other way. The government could make the purest, strongest strains we've ever come across while still maintaining the naturalness we love. What I'm more interested in is being able to grow my own plants.

California will legalize. Almost positive. I heard something like 60% of the state wants to legalize it. Not just out of people who are 18-24, but out of the whole state. California's biggest agricultural product is dairy correct? Well, legal product. Compared to marijuana, dairy is second. Marijuana brings in something like 14 billion a year, while dairy brings in about half. And it's not even legal! So think about how much money will be made once it is legalized and taxed. It won't pull us out of the recession, but it will be a huge help as long as other states begin to follow suit.

Problem is, these are state laws. The feds can come in at any time and arrest anybody who has any amount of marijuana. But if enough states start legalizing, the federal government is gonna realize they can't lie to the people anymore. New Jersey just decriminalized medicinal marijuana, and their marijuana laws were very strict. It's on the ballot for NY this November as well. But they aren't doing it like Cali. The government will have complete control over medicinal marijuana, no shops or anything. But it is a step forward.

And Cole n' Siikez, good for you guys. Seriously. I'm a huge advocate of marijuana, but if you guys don't fuck with it, then that's you. But I will say the simple definition of a drug is anything that alters the normal bodily function, that can be anything from coffee to pepto-bismol.
Wiki isn't the most legitimate source, but it's more reliable than you. Now...read.

Abuse

Although not related to traditional opioids, tramadol can produce euphoria in some users. At high but therapeutic single doses (about 75–300 mg), tramadol induces a state of well-being. The high produced by tramadol is similar to other opioids, but with notable differences. Such as; increased energy, empathy, and a significant improvement of symptoms related to depression and anxiety. Effects of tramadol also last much longer than that of opioids due to its complex mechanism and longer half-life. Most users report tramadol works without the cognitive impairment seen with other opioids (e.g. hydrocodone, morphine, etc.).[citation needed]. Those who can rapidly convert tramadol through P450 enzyme are more likely to experience euphoria, respiratory depression, constipation, and analgesia. As of 2010(possibly earlier) O-Desmethyltramadol has been made available from a few select Research Chemical suppliers often being sold alongside other drugs such as MDPV, 4-ACO-DMT and JWH-018. Many users claimed the chemical to be on average twice as potent as tramadol itself as well as being more euphoric and effective via routes of administration other than oral.
