Thoughts on KOD from a Tech N9ne fan who has been listenin to him for 7 years....
So I first wanna say that Tech is my favorite musician out of all the music I listen to. I am not much of a rap fan anymore, becuase I realized that most rap is talkin about how much money you have, how many bitches you have, going to the club, doing a stupid dance or how many guns you have. But Tech n9ne has never been any of this. He is truly a LYRICAL GENIUS when it comes to making music.
Would most of you agree that after Killer and Sickology, Tech has been at his best as far as success goes? So why did he have to change his style so much?
This album consisted mostly of songs about eating people, killing, fighting in the club, and God.
I have been a HUGE Tech N9ne fan for 7 years, and this is the first time that I have listened to his music and been TRULY DISAPOINTED.
There are some of us in this forum who truly listen to the things Tech says in his raps. I mean, songs like "This Ring", Trapped in a Psychos Body, The Rain, The Industry is Punks, Cursed, Questions, That Owl, In My Head, Celcius, Blow Away, In The Air, Red Nose etc.....These are songs that I believe make Tech N9ne special because he speaks the truth.
Do you really want to bump a song that talks about eating people? There may be some hardcore people on here like that, but I just dont listen to the beat, I listen to the lyrics. It seemed like I was listenin to Brotha Lynch's CD. I just dont understand why he changed his style? I mean, he always has a song or two on each album that might be a lil crazy, but almost every song was like that.
And as many of you can tell, there have actually been a lot of negative posts about his new album, and it hasnt even officially dropped yet. Up until now, I have never seen so many negative comments about Tech's music on this forum. I'm just sayin, I think he is going to lose some fans' interest on this one.
In closing, I wanna say that I will still continue to listen to Tech N9ne, but this CD will not be played by me. I still support him but as a HUGE fan, I am truly disapointed in this particular CD.

doesnt mean he changed his style, its entertainment damn....think of it the same way actors play different roles in movies and dont take it literally. The album is supposed to have a dark tone/theme. Judge him on his lyrics and delivery and other talents rather on whether or not you "like" the theme of the album.
I think its his best album since Anghellic...coming from a Tech fan since the late 90's (Gang Related and thereafter)

Yeah you really soundin' like a lil cry baby now...It's cool to post your opinion of the album or whatever but you're disecting every little lyric to defend your opinion...I don't think it's that necessary...and it's becoming very repetitive and boring..After numerous replys to why the album is so dark, I think you should now understand the reason his "style changed" or whatever the fuck you said..And hearing it from Tech N9ne's mouth himself(via youtube interviews) should further your knowledge on why the album is the way it is..Do you get it? Can you digest all this info now and get over it?

the real IS tech n9ne and about him callin us dumbasses it just shows how much of a real dude tech is with his fans, same misunderstanding happened at the sik, because you can't hear the tone of voice in text you don't know how they say it but just like when your with your homies and he trips and you call him a dumbass it's the same way, your just fuckin around, and Im proud to be a fan of an artist thats so real and not politically correct and fake when he's around.
as for K.O.D., any true Tech fan even if your not into his darkness can appreciate Low, shadows, martini, leave ,e alone, show me a god, check your temperature, and b boy, thats a lotta meat for all you non dark fans to be bitchin' about how the album sucks. plus tech came out with 2 albums this year, go listen to sickology if you get to scared of KOD, thats probably why he did it in the same year, he cares about all his fans and isnt leavin anyone else out.

LOL I Think its funny how you called me a bitch twice in your post. Because of my opinions, you call a fellow Technician a "Bitch". Hey man, its all good. I respect your opinion, even though its differs from mine. I have listened to Calm Before the Storm and the Worst and yes, there are a few dark songs, but you cant relate them to KOD. Those CD's resembled all of his other cd's, with a couple of dark songs.
