Thoughts on KOD from a Tech N9ne fan who has been listenin to him for 7 years....

So I first wanna say that Tech is my favorite musician out of all the music I listen to. I am not much of a rap fan anymore, becuase I realized that most rap is talkin about how much money you have, how many bitches you have, going to the club, doing a stupid dance or how many guns you have. But Tech n9ne has never been any of this. He is truly a LYRICAL GENIUS when it comes to making music.

Would most of you agree that after Killer and Sickology, Tech has been at his best as far as success goes? So why did he have to change his style so much?

This album consisted mostly of songs about eating people, killing, fighting in the club, and God.

I have been a HUGE Tech N9ne fan for 7 years, and this is the first time that I have listened to his music and been TRULY DISAPOINTED.

There are some of us in this forum who truly listen to the things Tech says in his raps. I mean, songs like "This Ring", Trapped in a Psychos Body, The Rain, The Industry is Punks, Cursed, Questions, That Owl, In My Head, Celcius, Blow Away, In The Air, Red Nose etc.....These are songs that I believe make Tech N9ne special because he speaks the truth.

Do you really want to bump a song that talks about eating people? There may be some hardcore people on here like that, but I just dont listen to the beat, I listen to the lyrics. It seemed like I was listenin to Brotha Lynch's CD. I just dont understand why he changed his style? I mean, he always has a song or two on each album that might be a lil crazy, but almost every song was like that.

And as many of you can tell, there have actually been a lot of negative posts about his new album, and it hasnt even officially dropped yet. Up until now, I have never seen so many negative comments about Tech's music on this forum. I'm just sayin, I think he is going to lose some fans' interest on this one.

In closing, I wanna say that I will still continue to listen to Tech N9ne, but this CD will not be played by me. I still support him but as a HUGE fan, I am truly disapointed in this particular CD.

Much love to all the Technicians on this site.

this cd is his best work yet!!!
Tech is a genius and he writes his life. If its too dark for you, give the CD to someone else. As far as eating people, I mean dam bro, he really does eat women. I'm not going to go into any more detail on that one. He writes his life, right now its dark, he doesn't write for the radio or the tv or you, he writes what he lives and that's why people love him. His life has been full of tragedy and loss, he fills those voids with the road, tours, albums and women. I think this is one of his best, second only to Everready. But the fact is he writes his life, ya don't like it, don't buy it. He won't lose any real fans over this album, his real fans understand him, love him for what he does and appreciate the fact that he let's us in to his head to see the real Aaron Dontez Yates. They don't call it Strange Music for nothing.

u know what !? i truely agree with u, except i will listen to the album, BUT, i only like a few songs from it, to me, his best work was killer & sickology, even in his show, the tour is the "k.o.d. tour", yet he only did like 2 songs from it, because u cant perform that stuff ! its to slow and not right for a show with people who wanna party and have a good time. i do feel like this album isnt his best work, "dark" or not, it sheds alot of negative energy and not very interesting. i also agree that he might lose some fans or intrest of new ones. this is my least favorite album he has ever made. but ive been a fan for over 10yrs. and i will support him still and buy his music, every one lays an egg once in there career. i do respect what he has done and the effort behind it, and i do respect that others feel this is his best. its just my opinion on how i view k.o.d.
I repsect everyones opinion and honesty but still think its equal or second to everready, he warned everyone this was gonna b dark, this is goin back to his underground shit, not radio-friendly at all, and thats what Teccas all about, fuck the industry!!
yeh i agree too with this we had plenty of warning!!!

He's changed his style and started talking about the stuff he does in K.O.D. because his mom is extremely sick and its made him realize alot of things in his life that he thought was real that aren't anymore. So whether it be eating people or killing people etc... its because this is a very dark time in Tech's life and this is his way of expressing his feelings and whats going on inside his head. Respect the Tech no matter how dark and horrific his music becomes
Ask yourself, would the N9ne be on the internet bitching at his fans or would he be on tour? Coz he is. I doubt he has time to come onto his own site and call everyone a dumbass.
That guy pretending to be tec ain't him. Tech's smart, that guy is clearly a dumbass.

I don't even know why people are still arguing after this, or his second reply. I have listened to pinocchiho but it was pretty clear he was talking about pussy in hunterish.

Edit- And yeah thereal is Tech N9ne. ---^

ok here we go. if you really knew me you would know im GIRL CRAZY. remember? so when you here me talkin bout eating people, in hunterish and pinocchiho im talkin bout EATING PUSSY DUMB ASSES! women. i eat WOMEN i really eat WOMEN they really delicious! its just like slither at the end it gets theatrical but the story pinocchiho describes me as a person longing to be normal and trying hard to be with one woman. i didnt see the resemblance till after i wrote it and it thru me for a loop that the character i created in the song is me. WEIRD! enjoy more now.

O
his fucking learics are hard as hell just LISTEN to them
A) He said this was going to be his darkest album yet (As everyone has been saying)
B) He switches his style up on every album so don't be too dissapointed

We may see a The Calm Before The Storm part 2 where he goes back to his roots droppin some classic shit. By TCBTS pt.2 I just mean the style of music. I really don't think we will see a TCBTS pt.2 but that would be cool though! I would like to see old school beats with fresh ass lyrics. Since he's gotten so far lyrically that would be dope!
to be fair, tech did say this would be his DARKEST album, he did it as reflection of everything hes goin thru right now, he didnt change his style for the fuck of it. hes said in every interview that his newer fans werent going to like this shit, and like you said, you as well as other folks on here credit tech for being real and expressing his emotions but what you need to understand is that this is a straight HORRORCORE album, people may not like it but think about it, hes still reflecting on the issues in his life, but when you focus 100% anger and despair into music, you have to expect that the results will be unpredictable. yea i know hes talking bout eating niggas n shit but its a result of him putting his pain into his lyricism, i mean be honest we all credit tech for spittin TRUE lyrics of his life but when it comes to horrorcore rap you can only state the actual true events so much, you have to twist it n fuck with it to make a awesome album. yea, alot of people dont like it, but hes doing what the fuck he wants, to me this is the follow up to calm before the storm juz a lil darker, techs juz as he was ten years ago n its great that he aint selling out especially with the rap game the way it is now. also put into consideration that when he started in nnutthowze it waz horror rap as well so really hes paying homage to his darker side tht hes condemned all these years. he even says it in the beginning of blackened the sun, i went out my way to do music for you, i did songs with e-40, scarface, all ya heroes nigga, yukmouth, now imma do it my way, i dont give a fuck what yall think bout me.
