When I read comments on youtube or whatnot people seem not to understand that there's a difference between lyrical and technical.

Lyrical: Expressing the writer's emotions in an imaginative and beautiful way.

You don't even have to rhyme to be lyrical.

Technical: Complex rhyme schemes, multi-syllable rhyming, etc. (This is not the actual definition but the direction.)

Now you know.

you're an idiot

cool never thought about it that way

Your disapproval means nothing. All the face palms in the world couldn't do anything about that.

Don't say you didn't ask for it.

He said ''You don't even have to rhyme to be lyrical.''......laughable

In poetry its called a "blank verse". The definition of lyrical doesn't state anything about rhyming. When someones lyrical it means they speak from the heart. I'll put some examples below.

Tech N9ne - Mama Nem (Lyrical)

Eminem - Infinite (Technical)

Brotha Lynch Hung - I Tried To Commit Suicide (Lyrical)

Tech N9ne - He's A Mental Giant (Technical)

............. In order to rap you do have to rhyme but you don't have to be lyrical. Being lyrical is something an artist can add to his verse. I just stated what a blank verse was to let you know that you don't have to rhyme to be lyrical in poetry. Rap is poetry but poetry where you have to rhyme.

Bottom line, what i'm trying to say is that being lyrical is different from doing alot of multi-syllable rhyming.

PS: I didn't mean to imply that any songs I labelled "lyrical" didn't rhyme. I completely ignored there rhyming and just targeted any song that was lyrical.

This Thread Is HORSE SHIT! !!!!!

If its "HORSE SHIT! !!!!!" then what is lyrical?
