and the sooner everyone comes to terms with it, the sooner we are able to move forward. We will be able to educate our children without religion barricading the amount of knowledge a new generation of people can possess. Religious texts are filled with one-dimensional ideas and they expect followers to be obedient and nothing more. Obedience is all that religions profess, and if you are disobedient, you are damned. If life is a so-called "test" of one's faith, then how is it fair if all tests are unequal? Obviously, all tests of faith are unequal, because Jane Doe could have been born to atheist parents, and in turn, making Jane a newborn atheist, while Bill was born to two evangelical parents who worshiped God everyday, making Bill an automatic saint. These two scenarios are completely different in every way imaginable, and it would be silly for a "God" to test someone's faith in such a way. Also, the Bible does not give a particular age for the Earth. However, most Christian scholars believe the Earth to be around 8,000 years old. If anyone has ever opened a science book in their life, you would know the Earth is approximately 4.5 billion years old based on radiometric dating of some of the oldest rocks on the planet. The sad thing is is that religion still attacks science, despite of how advanced and concrete it tends to be. Another sad thing is that it is impossible to disprove that a god exists, because the theory of a god runs on an unfalsifiable hypothesis, meaning I can't falsify it no matter how hard I try, because supposedly, God is an ethereal, invisible, and untouchable being. How am I supposed to prove such a thing doesn't exist? It is the equivalent to me saying that I have an invisible, ethereal, and untouchable baby dinosaur with me at all times. No one can disprove that. My opinion is that religion was an old-fashioned form of law to keep everyone in order to achieve happiness in the "afterlife" which no one really knows anything about.

ya, i have a track planned out to write about religion. more like how we have so much despair happening and the great Lord that people worship and look up to doesn't care (there is more to it than that, but i rather wait till i actually do it). i just want to find a proper beat that matches the tone

I'm in the process of writing a rap touching on this subject. It's gonna have a lot of your points, but a lot more of my own. I agree with most of what you said.

Ill address this from a Christianity point of view because (even though I am not a Christian) it is the religion I know the most about.

1. Religions do not expect their followers to blindly follow. Yes, they want them to follow basic ethics that are essentially the same as what society expects. Thats about it. You dont have to go to church, pray everyday, or anything else. All you have to do is believe in God and repent your sins.

2. Even if you break every commandment multiple times, that doesnt mean you are going to hell. If you believe in God and repent your sins, you still go to heaven.

3. Your test of faith scenarios make no sense. Jane and Bill are born equal. Doesnt matter if one is born from devout christians and the other is crack whore satanists.

4. Religion attacks science and science attacks religion. Look at shit objectively.

5. The Bible does not make an exact reference to how old the earth is and it certainly never states that it was 6,000, 7,000, or 8,000 years old.

6. Its not impossible to prove that God exists. Its difficult as hell because some people just dont accept facts and evidence but its not impossible.

7. The difference between a baby dinosaur and God is that God is not a physical entity. Example, someone says I have God in my heart, they do not believe that he is literally in there.

8. Religion is not law. It is an ethical guideline for people to live their lives by so that society can live in a civilzed manner. The stories are designed to teach a moral lession. Just like the ones from Greek, Rome, Aesop, Buddha, etc.

9. Who really gives a fuck what other people believe? If I want to teach my kids about ethics and morallity by introducing them to religion, how does that affect you? Does it effect you in any way that my mom prays before she goes to bed? Does it hurt you to listen to a prayer about people who have been hurt and killed? No, but a child who is not introduced to religion as a child is more likely to act unethically and have problems with the police as they get older. Not always but there was an actual study a couple years (and it was not done by the Vatican or some shit like that) that came to that conclusion. Who cares what people think? Ive seen a shitload of threads bashing religion on here but Ive never seen a thread bashing atheists. So who is really the cocky, arrogant, dumbasses here?
dude i forreal think u just watch my every move wit this shit cause u always be on my shit.. fuckin faggot
