the cd is everything i expected. the music, beats, lyrics.  new names on the cd...to me anyway...tight.  Also, Tech N9ne rips it up!

Honest Question.

Did you actually listen to CHS?  or did you throw it in your cd player and start nodding your head because the the album cover says Brotha Lynch Hung?  Because thats what im guessing.  I cant imagine anyone in their right mind listening to CHS and saying "you know what, this is the shit!"

To me CHS is a recycled, less functional version of DAAM with less thought put into it, and DAAM wasn't even creative.

I've been a fan of lynch since WAY before he signed with strange and I've always liked him, still do. IMO CHS is disappointing. DAAM was at least amusing but CHS is an embarrassment to Lynch's catalog.  Sorry, just the way I feel.

daam..
Well I've been promoting this album here in the city for a couple months so my expectations for it were very high to say the least. Not to mention I've been up on Lynch since 2005 first listening to 24 Deep and Season Of Da Siccness, which in turn led me to Tech's music back then. I've heard nearly all of Lynch's current material from group releases to solo and continue to check back on anything new that's thrown my way. I wouldn't just press play and automatically dig it solely because it was Lynch. For example I don't really care for The Gas Station due to the horrible quality and mediocre songs with the exception of Rocc Da Mic and a couple others. But I did feel that Coathanga Strangla exceeded my expectations and was probably the best Hip-Hop release in 2011 thus far. From the beats to the song concepts, from the skits to the features, from the classic Lynch rhyme patterns to the fresh ones. You name it, I thought it was dope. The only real complaint of mine regarding CHS is that my copy came cracked from FedEx which has nothing to do with Strange Music or the quality. I honestly love this album, so if your opinion differs from mine that's fine but don't be so quick to write mine off and tell me I'm wrong because of individual taste. My word of advice would be to sit back, smoke a blunt, and really try to get into CHS if you didn't enjoy it the first go around. You never know, it may grow on you. Personally I don't see how you didn't like it because I thought it was the shit, but to each their own.
