I think wats missin is Originality...lots of beats have similar templetes with simple mealodys and nowadays, most songs are about the same subject matters (doin dances, club songs with simple rhymes/similies/deliveries) and everyone's hoppin on w/ auto tune now, not that i have anything against auto tune, its just way overrused and overrated

lil wayne pre autotune/pre carter 3 = decent

lil wayne with autotune = annoying trash

T-Pains Carrear = nonexistent w/o autotunen

Kanye w/ AutoTune = False Sense of Being a Voice of a Generation
talent and originality.
straight up homie originality goes hand and hand with variety and the market is saturated with similar sounding shit but as far as talent goes i disagree with what j9x.tech n9ne is a prime example of mega talent so is slaughter house so is chamillionaire so is murs ,immortal technique, wale, theres just so many talented artists but you have to really look for them.

what happened to kanye's shit? its fukin whack! he used to be one of my favs, but now hes trash!
Man, I just dont agree with you guys. And Im not hating on the south because that is all I used to really listen too. I moved from tennessee to Lincoln Nebraska and nobody really bumped shit from the south and I got everyone listening to Dirty, DTP, Field Mob, and shit like that. Then a couple years later Lil Jon hit the scene and the south blew up. I know Luda was around before that as well as 3 6 and 8ball and MJG but Lil John pretty much made the dirty what it is. Before that it was all about the East Coast and West Coast shit. I know you guys remember that. I agree some good stuff comes out of the south still but I just think the Midwest rappers are way better. But maybe they will come back. How does it go "The South will rise again!' lol If Outkast would drop a banger and Luda make something that aint weak then I might convert back.
The industry's missing KC.
And there's nothing wrong with Kanye expanding his musical abilities and using autotune.
lil john has no talent, all dude does is scream his rappin sux and imo his beats are low budget sounding trash. The south was soundin hot b4 Lil John stepped on the sence and its never been the same. Somehow the worst rap music the south has done has become the most popular....

Tech N9ne Speaks On R.A. The Rugged Man, ‘Holla-Loo-Yuh’, Not Giving A F*ck [VIDEO]

When it comes to emcees other than Tech N9ne that are quick-spitting, hyper-intricate, and actually have something to say, it’s pretty much impossible to leave R.A.
