TechN9ne is not the #1 independent rapper??
Well I started a forum a little bit ago, and it should be a few below this titled something like: icp sucks, "em and tech are the best". I'm just asking for a little help, because a few people seem to think that tech n9ne is, in fact, NOT the #1 independent rapper in the world. I thought he was. Am I wrong?? I sure hope not

Well what they mean by that is Tech has been at the top of the charts for sales more than any other independant rapper consecutively. He hasnt sold the most records out of all independant rappers, but every show he goes to on tour sells out and he tours more and longer than almost any other artist in the industry. Thats what they mean by number 1.

It depends on what you call independent. Lil FLip can be considered independent, and collectively he's sold more records than Tech. UGK (RIP Pimp C) could be considered Independent. They've sold more albums collectively than Tech. If you wanna go on the "without a major industry behind them" route, then yes he is. But technically those 2 alone can be considered independent.
