TECH SQUAD/STREET TEAM OFFICIALS
Okay so I went through the search and found some topics but nothing really what I was looking for with Street teams so I started this one, and besides they were kinda a mess. This is for the ADMINS/TECH SQUAD LEADERS/STREET TEAMS/MAYORS/ALL POWERFULLS/or whatever you title yourselves. I thought it might be a good idea for a place for a leadership roll call from the squads. I know how alot of yall are from the myspace TECH SQUADS, like NY, NOR CAL, Spokane, COLORADO, AZ, ETC. I've seen posts from others looking for their squads and how to get in touch with them and maybe what they have been doing, promo ideas, events attended, issues, SNIPES and such. SO this could be the place for that and for others looking for the squads of thier states. I'll start.
Idaho Tech Squad has received their promo packages for the Scoob/Strictly Strange push and are finishing up Genius/Sickology we will be out this weekend and the coming week hitting the Boise area. We have about 6 to 8 members at a time usually to hit the streets and friends of those members helping those squad memebers get the job done. I'm scheduled to promo at a lowrider show this saturday and will hav emy 64 ready to go once again. I did the Northwest motor fest boise car show over the July 4th weekend with 10,000 or so people attended the 4 days of the show of 2,000 plus cars. We were there making the Strange known for the event. We have also used the promo tiles and attached them to wood stakes for road side signs and have worked pretty well (Like the Politicains do for elections). We also have are usuals of SNIPES, stores, records stores, etc out there. We also helped with the tour that just came through for Souljah from the western part of Sickology tour as he just finished up his tour date here a couple weeks back. As admin of the Idaho Squad for the hard work of the squad I got them embriodered polo shirts with strange music on them so when they are out to the radio station etc we have a cool professional look to get us in the doors. That is where we are at! S.L.A.D.A.N Where yall at?

For those who don't receive anything, word of mouth helps too. its not much, but you can get people interested by just talking. Every time I go out to stores I usually have one of my Strange Shirts on. It doesnt work as well as having sample stuff but hey, it works better than nothing.

Thanks yall...good discussion so far. It was what I was hoping for. something worth my time. We have a small group too and we have been working for a couple years now. I started it with just myself doing the work, then my brother helped, then at car shows and events we grew. Now I get alot of people askin to help. I usually stick with the ones I know get out and get it done and rotate out a couple positions. I had one guy who I so called "fired" for not doing anything and hoping to get the rewards. I don't mess around and it's business for us. When you bring the strange name to others I expect courteous and professional. We have since set up kind of a route with businesses and such, getting in was the hard part but now we are in it's expected for us to show up. We have clubs, stores, record stores, salons, tat shops, the college and university etc. So it makes it easy so all we gotta do is stop by now. I worked as a general manager in marketing for 3 years and it is always getting in, is the hard part, then all you have to do is be consitant and reliable to where the promo is going, repect for the business owners, and doing what you say you will do. I'm leaving my office for the afternoon to hit the streets today. Decided to take half the day to work on my route. Laterz and thanks to everyone for keeping the thread alive and positive....magic

That's good, and so do I. But it was a fight when I was first granted my markets, because I didn't have anyone.
The dude's I have now have the ability to be corteous AND sneaky, which helps if they get in a pinch. I had one kid that I thought was good to go until he went to the McCain Mall in North Little Rock and made a fucking fool of himself and Strange Music. Dude was going around to the cd stores and out in the food court throwing promo around. I had to do damage control with the Hot Topic and Spencer's stores after he got done having his retard fit.
I became really cautious after all this happened, and had to develop a means of reading my potential crew. I can do the shit on my own. That's why I was offered the markets, but it doesn't get out with a solidly effecient time. It takes me a while to do it on my own, but it always looks great and is well seen.
My boy Anthony has really stepped up in the Springfield market with me, and we have developed a great system of getting promo out to high and hot spots. I'm very thankful for my boys.

I can hand pick these dudes by the way they try to sneak around getting their other friends in for free.
I don't need dudes looking for a handout. An honestly, the best promo guys I've had aren't enamored about meeting Tech and crew. They look at them as normal people. That seems to make the criteria for getting good help much easier.
