In my music theory class, we have to analyze a rap verse for rhyme patterns and rhythm. I'm obviously doing a Tech verse, but can't decide which one. I know my professor has never heard of Tech N9ne, so I want to impress him. Any suggestions???
I was considering doing either the first verse in Red Nose because it tells a lot about Tech's struggles and also has some slower flows and some quicker chopping flows. Or..I was gonna do the first verse in Why You Aint Call Me just because of the part where he says "if music was about innovatin and penetratin generations....." I think my professor would be impressed by that lyricism, but the flows arent as impressive and intricate in that.
I know I'm overthinking it, but I wanna leave an impression on my professor who does not know much about hip hop, and I think Tech will blow him away
love that verse..as you can prob tell by my username. but im goin with Red Nose thanks guys PEACE!
3:08 do it or die a painful death lol
hands down!! @ 3:25
or... @ 1:31
college music industry major..yea its sick that were studying rap my professors a homie!
You could freak him out with the song "K.O.D" =] ... but thats a coo ass assignment! r u in high school or wha?
Your professor's ears should reach their climax of complete pleasuring sound wave orgasm around 0:53 and forward lmfao!
the first verse of One Good Time. so deep and unique topic for a rapper. it'll really show off tech's versatility and his real emotion. or even tech's verse on Little Pills cuz of how he flows and it shows his rock influence. Trapped in a Psycho's Body or Worst Enemy are good choices as well.
Could've been Unfair verse and chorus too... use it next time :D
Red Nose was a good choice bc it has slow flows, double time chopping, chopping in 3/4 which was annoying to notate, and also had intricate rhyme schemes along with the lyrical content I wanted my professor to see. Also, the theme and hook of the song also had to be discussed. All the suggestions were good, but Red Nose was the overall best choice to display Tech IMO
