Tech N9ne "Something Else" album cover...what do yall think?

Although at first glance it looks like it was taken and shopped from EBAH. take a look at it with the EBAH cover right next to you (If you have a physical copy) the flames are in a different wave pattern and the wings and heart are slightly different on EBAH vs. SE it is the same concept though.

U can tell it didn't take long to make on Photoshop, its made out of the ebah cover.. they just put tech n9ne over the heart with wings, and copied the heart with wings into his chest... and drew a couple lines, added a couple filters, blended it all in... still looks dope tho.. something I could make

I kinda like the reference to EBAH, but I was hoping for something more off the wall, it looks too fan-made to me. The trim doesn't belong imo and I don't like the placing of the title, I feel like Tech and Liquid 9 probably had some good ideas for the cover, but they just weren't properly conveyed. Also, I wonder why his Sacrifice tattoo isn't in the picture, I know it would've interfered with the box on his chest/stomach area but they could've ditched that idea anyway, looks silly to me, as do the 6's and 7's and IX's and crosses on his arms, looks like superfluous references

Wat u talkin bout da lX, 6s n 7s and crosses look dope as fuck..but I agree wit them takin away his chest tattoo..my only disagreement is his posture and face expression.He looks weird and not himself It would of really look dope if he had his mean face as if he was fighting the good and evil inside him..kinda like the Anghellic cover

As for me, I think the artist who painted it had some proportions off or something. Dope ass concept and all, feels very EBAH-ish as its supposed to, but it looks odd for some reason.

The heart looks just cut and pasted from the E.B.A.H. cover, there shouldn't be a box around the heart. The flames Should have been made to look more like a crown, not just something thrown on there. The body looks nothing like Tech, it's too small for the head, the shoulders are too narrow. The face looks alright it's nothing special. I know it's supposed to look like a cartoon, but it looks too cartoonish. it's like its a bunch of seperate pictures just thrown together with some filters. I would get and F for work like this in my graphic design class.

And yes I do know a little bit about making album covers, I made one in my first semester graphic design class, in high school. It was my version of welcome to strangeland cover.

That needs quite a bit of work... No real defined focal point, Tech is severely skewed horizontally, too cluttered...

I made this when I was 15 without any "graphic design classes"... And it still could use improvement as well.

Fuck no. Digipaks can suck my dick. When you buy them brand new they're already dog eared and beat up. And of course if you listen to the CD a lot it only gets worse and the stupid thing falls apart. Jewel cases all the way.

Thats my point, both of these are better covers than the current Something Else cover. Thanks for the tips though.
