number 2 independent as well
You got to remember that the billboard chart is made based off nelson soundscan. Soundscan only accounts for 60% of all record sales. Most home town record stores and a lot of the smaller chains sales are not included.
It's a collabo album, not many collabs do well on any chart period so this is an accomplishment. Wait for his K.O.D. album to see higher numbers

Yeah, I've been wondering the same. I highly doubt he's the first indie rapper to sell a mil. ICP got platinum on multiple records but there were times where they weren't indie.
