Permalink Reply by θάνατος εις Πεφωτισμένων ʘ on September 11, 2012 at 11:43pm Don't get me wrong, I've always found Tech N9ne's flow and delivery nearly unmatched (with the exception of a few emcees). When he takes the time to incorporate substance with a message I really enjoy his music. These past few releases have shown a tremendous decline in those departments. I like how so many of you are trying to make excuses for him on the basis of "MAINSTREAM WILL GO TECH" and "GET OFF TECHS FORUM IF YOU DONT LIKE HIS MUSIC". Many of us love the majority of Tech N9ne's catalogue. When an artist begins to lose his touch then people start to point out the obvious.
For instance and I quote...
Money Motivated Mishap Asmodeus Monikers Mended
Um... What?
Sure he was able to consecutively flip six "M" based syllables within one bar. However he did not even make a complete legible sentence (or thought if you will). Just because you can do something doesn't necessarily mean you should and it certainly doesn't make him better than any other emcee who lacks meaning in their lyrics that make little sense. On top of that he acts like that's the pinnacle standard of a "bar exam" by Strange Music's own words in their blog. On the contrary it's very easy to accomplish what he did and even better at that.
Listen here, it's more like...
Narrow Needless Neglected Nonsense Niched Neatly
Lol exactly the way I see it.
Get mad, now let the flaming begin...

Mishap - Unlucky, Asmodeus - King of demons, Monikers - A name
He rhymes for money and is unlucky because hes a demon and "Monikers mended", I would assume hes talking about K.O.D..
Permalink Reply by θάνατος εις Πεφωτισμένων ʘ on September 12, 2012 at 1:18am I'm not ignorant to the meaning of each word contained in the bar. That's not what I'm saying at all. He's forcing multiple words together that don't even conjure a complete thought at all. To add to the matter he's acting like it's some sort of supreme lyrical script that people should be in awe of.
For instance if Lil Wayne were to rap...
Moolah Mission's Mountainous Martian Money Mah-Nigga
People would more than likely stake the claim that it was complete garbage (and justly so). But when Tech N9ne throws up pointless bars that make minimal to zero sense just for the sake of rhyming and maintaining a concurrent flow of syllables beginning with the same letter then it makes it okay? I don't discriminate, if I hear trash I'll call it out.
As previously stated it's merely...
Narrow Needless Neglected Nonsense Niched Neatly
Lol it's truly that simple.

It makes sense. But some people, like Slim Strange (BottledMindFrame) have a bit of trouble getting that though.
My advice to Slim, keep a thesaurus handy.

Permalink Reply by θάνατος εις Πεφωτισμένων ʘ on September 12, 2012 at 1:50am Lol you clearly didn't read my last post. I'm aware of the meaning of each word, that doesn't change the fact they don't technically complete an entire well established thought within the rhyme. Try claiming that as a legitimate sentence (equating to a unit of grammar that expresses a complete individual statement) to an English/Grammar professor and watch him laugh at your ignorance.
So let's say an emcee came out with a bar like this...
Wagering Wicked Women Waxing Wedlock's Willing
Wagering Wicked Women = Gambling with unjust females
Waxing Wedlock's Willing = Ejaculating on the voluntarily unfaithful
So together that would translate to him... Gambling with unjust females by ejaculating on the voluntarily unfaithful?
Give me a fucking break, the entire thought (or lack thereof) behind that whack attempt of bar structure is beyond lame. The only reason it was even done in the first place was to try to fool people into thinking it's some sort of complex lyricism when it truly just lacks anything substantial.
Again I'll refer to it as...
Narrow Needless Neglected Nonsense Niched Neatly
I mean since you would sit there and eat that pathetic style of trash up lol.
(P.S. My mind frame is far from bottled. Although you may want to assess yours after your last response)

It seems you aren't very good in the language department. Let me educate you. Just because something doesn't sound syntactically correct to you, doesn't mean it isn't. Your examples are poor. The types of sentences you're trying to combat are phrases that don't need adpositions when complemented with their 'attendant modifiers' within the phrase. If you didn't know what I just said, that'd be why you don't understand the lyrics meaning. With spoken English, not only is emphasis on punctuation delivered with accentuation on certain words, it can also be easy to miss things like the aforementioned. Let me give you some grammatically valid sentences to fuck with your mind, and let you start to see why Techs simple 6 word line is more valid than you think.
How about the classic statement: Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo.
And: Can can can can can can can can can can.
And: James while John had had had had had had had had had had had a better effect on the teacher.
All of the above sentences are grammatically valid, but lack "extended grammar" because as I explained, complementary adposition is not necessary.
Before you go ahead and take another 25 minutes to reply, don't waste your time. You're not up to snuff with this subject, as much as you'd like to think you are.

It seems you are attempting to divert from the main course of conversation by trying to drag a simple lyric analysis into a debate over semantics and the English language. Simply put, if you approach and individual and say "Money Motivated Mishap Asmodeus Monikers Mended" it wouldn't complete an entire complete intelligent full train of thought thus not equating in the slightest to a legitimate sentence. This just goes to show me that you are in favor of dumbed down lyrics that are simple, ingenuine, lack substance/meaning, have little to no forethought at all, and are placed within a bar structure simply to attempt to sound complex. I'm sure if Tech N9ne did happen to use any of the examples I've provided within his verses that you would devour it and defend them as your level of sheer Stanism is insurmountable. In case you aren't aware music is subjective and everybody will have their own opinion of it. I've simply stated why I feel that particular bar is whack and you've now went out of your way to debate that when your preference obviously differs. Of course you've already proven that in my eyes you'd gobble up Tech N9ne's sperm no matter which way he shot it at you. Just because dude blurts out meaningless rambles doesn't mean everyone has to worship the ground he walks on as you do. I'm actually a fan of his as I previously mentioned, but when I hear something below par I'll address it. You on the other hand seem incapable of that due to the fact you feel... "GAHHH TECH N9NE GOAT SPIT THIS RHYME". Lol you truly are an incoherent, impotent, ignorant bastard. Holy bee-jesus multiple use of the letter "I" consecutively! I wouldn't want you to mount a hard on with that alpha-sentence (LOL)!
So Mr. Siikez please tell me again how...
Money Motivated Mishap Asmodeus Monikers Mended
Is so prestigiously unsurpassed in terms of depth and has even the slightest bit of relevance to lyricism in the sense I was describing (hence substance, meaning, message, originality, hell even intelligent thought).
Oh wait... You can't as you'd rather avert the true point of topic to discuss grammar and how somebody who doesn't share your opinion is inferior to you. Lol yeah right, that'll ever be the day cocksucker. Have fun becoming a high priest within your undying faith of Stanism.

Permalink Reply by ֆӄʐ ♔ on September 12, 2012 at 2:33am You don't walk up to someone and speak in linguistic phenomena, it's used in poetry and examples of English flexibility. I'm not sure what to tell you 'Slim Strange'. It's not about emcees and rhymes. It's about the English language. And I just pretty much told you that it is a grammatically valid statement lacking unneeded adposition. That can't be argued. That's English. It's set in stone. What you're trying to say is "it doesn't appeal to me". Which is fine, it can seem like jibberish to people that aren't so great with syntax. But I mean, I literally can't tell you any further than what I've told you. I mean, it's like explaining maths, you can only go so far until you've taught someone all there is to know, if they don't understand they don't understand. =/ You were literally right on schedule with the 25 minute reply btw BMF.
