It has now been a year since the release of this album....looking back on it, what are your thoughts on it today? Do you feel it made Tech's career stronger? If YOU can personally make any changes to the album, what would they be and why?

all 6's and 7's was the beginning of a different phase of tech. i hate to say the word but its more "mainstream" than real tech. i don't have a problem with mainstream whatsoever..i just choose not to listen to it because its overrated. i think all 6's and 7's was a masterpiece, it had its flops (pornographic, pookie) but what album doesn't? k.o.d. was super dark, gates mixed plate was all party (because tech was done with his dark phase and wanted to party) and then 6's and 7's  brought it all home and solidified it. it had some BIG names on it (wayne, bust rhymes, yela, twista, snoop, e-40, t-pain) which is why i think the album targeted a bigger crowd, not just tech/strange fans. its all part of the process of getting your name out there. people started noticing tech and being like "holy hell this dude is incredible" and then tech picked up on it so he then released welcome to strangeland (his worst work to date) to give the newer fans something to listen to. its a genius process. AND with the hostile takeover tour, he's spreading his work all throughout the usa. all in all i am very pleased with 6's and 7's.

stfu. you have absolutely no right to say all that based off of his one opinion.

but that being said, if you honestly think WTSL is his worst piece of work to date, than i honestly agree with warren that you have been huffing paint.

calm before the storm, the worst, celcius, and gates are all undoubtedly worse. and IMO, sickology, MLK, and A6A7 are also all worse than WTSL.

the first 4 are more fact than opinion.

saying those are better than WTSL is like saying Gucci Mane is better than tech n9ne. it's still an opinon, but it's wrong.

The songs on the album are either great or horrible, but few fall in between. It really feels like Tech is trying to please too many groups and is trying to make a variety of songs so everybody is happy. Its that struggle between staying true to his core fan base but trying to branch out and gain more fans. I dont fault him at all for that. However, I think that in his quest to appeal to everyone, he is forcing himself to make songs that he is not necessarily in the mindstate to make. There are many highs on the album but there is also a record number of songs that I wont listen to. Personally, I believe that there has been a steady decline in his creativity and passion for years. Other elements in his music (production, flow, etc) have become better but the decline in creativity and passion have left me yearning for more. Im at a crossroad on Tech. Hes still an incredible artist. However, hes engulfed himself in his work so much that it feels like he needs to take a break to really focus on his work. It wont happen because he is finally getting some well deserved recognition so Ill just continue to buy his new albums and search for the dwindling number of songs where I can still feel his heart and passion.

you find me one right minded person on this site that agrees with him and i'll take back what i said.

until then, you are both cock smokers.

if Tech ever "started to go mainstream" as opposed to being "the real tech" it would've been during Everready, if you wanna talk about a dramatic change in his music style nothing stands out more than the transition from AP to Everready imo. A6A7 is kinda like an Everready 2 in the sense that it's Tech doing everything on one CD with a slightly more mainstream appeal than before. And yes, I know Everready was released 4 years after Absolute Power and that that's when Tech stopped using ecstasy so I know that played a huge role in the difference of style, I'm just saying, A6A7 wouldn't have been when he started going "mainstream" imo, it's just when he took it up a notch. And that's not to say Everready or A6A7 are bad albums at all, they're both great

all 6's and 7's was dope and is one of his best albums but to be honest, once it got out of rotation of my music, i never really went back... its unfortunate but its true. I def was not able to put it on repeat as long as Everready, MLK, Vintage Tech, Sickology 101.

no no no no you have it all wrong dude. the PRODUCTION on welcome to strangeland was amazing. the LYRICS were fucking awful compared to the tech that i am used to. yes, there were like 2 or 3 bangers, but the rest were forgettable. and how dare you say that welcome to strangeland was better than all 6 and 7 AND sickology 101. get a fuckin clue man. for real

I have to agree with the others, have you in fact been huffing glue? WTSL was one of his best to date. If you can't tell that Tech went deep inside his mind to create WTSL you're fucking stupid and deaf.

I think out of all his albums i always find myself listening to Killer I and Killer II most often.  But 6's&7's was a great album.

I look back at A6sA7s and think that he tried way to hard to please to many people like has been previously stated, also i think that it was to long, and it seemed like it had a bunch of logical closure points that the album could have ended on and then it just kept goin. I still think its a good album though because it does have some of my favorite Tech songs on it like Technicians, I love Music, Delusional etc. He also needs to cut all the feature shit out thats one reason i think he has went down a little bit is because ever since killer it seems like he just loads his albums with features. I still think Everready is his greatest work cause it balanced everything perfectly, but let me get off my soapbox now lol.

all 6's and 7's was a great album, he brought 2 mainstream artist to show that he has that credibility with the mainstream. he will never go mainstream but those artist respect him enough to collaborate with him which is a sign that he is slowly taking over
