"Tech was literally dancing in his seat with excitement about the new album and some of the featured artists on it. He couldn’t say who they were, but he did explain that the album will be broken up into three distinct sections — Fire, Water and Earth.
Fire, Tech said, will have darker tracks, but the CD will finish with a heavenly theme in the Earth portion.
“I’ve got some heavenly ‘We Are The World’ shit on this album, swear to God,” Tech said.

You claim you're basing it off wide scale recognition and quickly follow that up by pretty much insinuating "NOT DAT DRAKE OR LIL WAYNE BULLSHIT DOE" in fear that you'll be attacked for your example. That's what we call a double standard my dude. Who are you to say who's opinion is valid to the entire Hip Hop community and who's is not? I personally know some hardcore Hip Hop heads who actually vouch for Lil Wayne and can intelligently defend their stance. Although I may not personally agree with their outlook does that mean I invalidate their opinion or exclude them? Not at all, it simply means we disagree on the matter. You'd sit there and claim Doggystyle is a "classic" without question due to it's numbers and impact while at the same time disregard Tha Carter III as if it didn't sell nearly just as many copies and gain equivalent publicity. Now in no way am I comparing the content between the two, just to clarify. The point of that example was to show you how retarded it is to judge a true classic's worth off of recognition alone. By your standards we might as well put any album that goes double platinum on that pedestal and throw up the finger to the true iconic Hip Hop figures moving less units right? SMFH... Terrible logic.

Something can be a masterpiece without being a classic. Yes, I am judging this based off of recognition, not just by the mass of the population (as Wayne and Drake receive), but more particularly by the hip-hop community as a whole. Go to other big hip hop sites. See how much discussion Tech gets in comparison to people like Dre, Em, Nas, and even a newcomer like Kendrick. A hip-hop classic is an album that takes the hip hop world by storm, and holds a buzz for a long time. Tech has never done that when releasing an album, I'm sorry. Keep in mind Tech is one of my favorites if not my favorite rapper, and he's held that title for a long time now. I enjoy Everready and Killer more than some of the albums I listed. But this site and our personal opinions do not represent hip-hop as a whole.

He is the producer for the Get Busy Committee (Apathy & Ryu). He's also done some stuff with Linkin Park, Fort Minor, Styles of Beyond, Snoop, Murs, and a handful of others.
