“The beats sound nothing like anything you’ve ever heard me on. The features that I’m going for are something you would never imagine. All I can say about it now is that it’s a very human album. What I mean by that is that it’s contradictory. On one song I say, ‘The saint is ours’, like we’re in the saint’s corner and then I have another song called ‘I’m Not A Saint’. It’s so beautiful because the King, the Clown, and the G are still present on this album.
There’s no apologies in what I’m saying. I don’t mind that it contradicts itself because that’s what people do. The album is everywhere. It feels like it’s Hell, Purgatory and Heaven all over again. I’m telling stories that I’ve never told – that I was afraid to tell on some songs. It’s super personal and I’ve got a big chip on my shoulder again. It’s always been there, but it’s getting bigger having to prove to fans and critics that we ain’t goin’ nowhere.” -Tech N9ne from SM blog 2/8/13
"Tech was literally dancing in his seat with excitement about the new album and some of the featured artists on it. He couldn’t say who they were, but he did explain that the album will be broken up into three distinct sections — Fire, Water and Earth.
Fire, Tech said, will have darker tracks, but the CD will finish with a heavenly theme in the Earth portion.
“I’ve got some heavenly ‘We Are The World’ shit on this album, swear to God,” Tech said.
As for Water, Tech said he hasn’t quite decided, but possible themes might be partying or confusion." -DailyWIldCat.com 3/29/13

Huh. Therapy Session was on Lynch's last album my dude. Maybe you should Check them out when you get a chance.
And there was a ton of rappers better than half the rappers on WWC but they were still dope.
I think he should get Young Droop on the next chopper track.

Aaron Ross said:
Who are you referring to when you say mark?
BottledMindFrame said:You can't state your defense as "take a look at other online Hip Hop communities and see how much buzz Tech N9ne has" followed by you disregarding the worth of the opinions of the fans here. Are there stans and marks who are apart of this forum? Absolutely, but there are also plenty of people I've come across who are passionate about music in general and lead the Hip Hop lifestyle. That'd be the equivalent to saying something alongs the lines of "people's opinions of Yukmouth shouldn't be recognized on Thizzler because that site focuses on bay area Hip Hop". Obviously TRTN has grown tremendously solely because of Tech N9ne's talent/longevity. Each of the users here were new to this community at some point and I guarantee that Tech N9ne isn't each single person's favorite emcee on here as well. As I said previously you're entitled to your own opinion, I even encourage you to express it. Keep it as such, however, because speaking as if your standpoint is fact and for the mass majority will make you look ignorant. From your point of view, obviously you feel as if Tech N9ne still has yet to produce a memorable classic. That's fine that you think that (although you're wrong lol) but don't pop off in a manner as if you speak for Hip Hop as a whole such as, and I quote, "as far as classics in the rap world go, Tech has none" or "a Hip Hop classic is an album that takes the Hip Hop world by storm, and holds a buzz for a long time". Honestly I see your definition of a classic as far off from it's true meaning. You claim you're basing it off wide scale recognition and quickly follow that up by pretty much insinuating "NOT DAT DRAKE OR LIL WAYNE BULLSHIT DOE" in fear that you'll be attacked for your example. That's what we call a double standard my dude. Who are you to say who's opinion is valid to the entire Hip Hop community and who's is not? I personally know some hardcore Hip Hop heads who actually vouch for Lil Wayne and can intelligently defend their stance. Although I may not personally agree with their outlook does that mean I invalidate their opinion or exclude them? Not at all, it simply means we disagree on the matter. You'd sit there and claim Doggystyle is a "classic" without question due to it's numbers and impact while at the same time disregard Tha Carter III as if it didn't sell nearly just as many copies and gain equivalent publicity. Now in no way am I comparing the content between the two, just to clarify. The point of that example was to show you how retarded it is to judge a true classic's worth off of recognition alone. By your standards we might as well put any album that goes double platinum on that pedestal and throw up the finger to the true iconic Hip Hop figures moving less units right? SMFH... Terrible logic.

Something can be a masterpiece without being a classic. Yes, I am judging this based off of recognition, not just by the mass of the population (as Wayne and Drake receive), but more particularly by the hip-hop community as a whole. Go to other big hip hop sites. See how much discussion Tech gets in comparison to people like Dre, Em, Nas, and even a newcomer like Kendrick. A hip-hop classic is an album that takes the hip hop world by storm, and holds a buzz for a long time. Tech has never done that when releasing an album, I'm sorry. Keep in mind Tech is one of my favorites if not my favorite rapper, and he's held that title for a long time now. I enjoy Everready and Killer more than some of the albums I listed. But this site and our personal opinions do not represent hip-hop as a whole.
BottledMindFrame said:Probably the most ridiculous statement I've had yet to read on this forum... I'm a huge fan of Hip Hop in general and just so happen to also avidly support Tech N9ne and Strange Music, so I'd say my judgement is far from biased. At the end of the day to each their own but if you are blind to the fact that Everready: The Religion and/or Killer are certifiable classics then I truly feel sorry for you. I've thoroughly enjoyed each of Tech N9ne's full length LPs, obviously some more than others, but those two projects in specific are undeniable. I guess the real question is, what does your definition of a classic sound like? Are you speaking in terms of sold units or recognition? If that's indeed how you measure up a true Hip Hop masterpiece, please proceed to slap the saliva out of your own lips. You seem very narrow and limited while even listing the few choices you consider "classics". I obviously don't expect everyone to share the same musical taste, especially when debating albums held in your highest regards, but blatantly claiming Tech N9ne still has yet to produce a solid classic is purely ignorant. You may have despised Michael Jackson, due to his past personal issues or even as an artist, but there isn't a single person alive who can deny that Thriller was/is an iconic album for the ages. The same principle would apply here. I'd say both Everready: The Religion and Killer contain just as much substance, lyricism, and extraordinary content as any of the albums you've named and beyond. "Just because you pour syrup on shit don't make it pancakes".
Living T said:As far as classics in the rap world go, Tech has none. SSLP is a classic. The Chronic is a classic. Doggystyle is a classic. Illmatic is a classic.

Didn't Tech say in the interview that he already had 2 from Scoop and then he just added another 3 so he producing 5 of them?
