“The beats sound nothing like anything you’ve ever heard me on. The features that I’m going for are something you would never imagine. All I can say about it now is that it’s a very human album. What I mean by that is that it’s contradictory. On one song I say, ‘The saint is ours’, like we’re in the saint’s corner and then I have another song called ‘I’m Not A Saint’. It’s so beautiful because the King, the Clown, and the G are still present on this album.
There’s no apologies in what I’m saying. I don’t mind that it contradicts itself because that’s what people do. The album is everywhere. It feels like it’s Hell, Purgatory and Heaven all over again. I’m telling stories that I’ve never told – that I was afraid to tell on some songs. It’s super personal and I’ve got a big chip on my shoulder again. It’s always been there, but it’s getting bigger having to prove to fans and critics that we ain’t goin’ nowhere.” -Tech N9ne from SM blog 2/8/13
"Tech was literally dancing in his seat with excitement about the new album and some of the featured artists on it. He couldn’t say who they were, but he did explain that the album will be broken up into three distinct sections — Fire, Water and Earth.
Fire, Tech said, will have darker tracks, but the CD will finish with a heavenly theme in the Earth portion.
“I’ve got some heavenly ‘We Are The World’ shit on this album, swear to God,” Tech said.
As for Water, Tech said he hasn’t quite decided, but possible themes might be partying or confusion." -DailyWIldCat.com 3/29/13

I can respect everyone's individual musical taste, just as I have mine. My main point I was was getting across to Living T was that it's ignorant to base an album's true value by numbers/recognition and to always speak for yourself rather than for a majority. Everybody's preference is different and should be respected as such. In my opinion Everready: The Religion and Killer were both solid classics, I find it odd that you'd prefer K.O.D. and All 6's And 7's to both honestly but that's what makes everybody unique. If those albums had a bigger impact on you as a listener in some fashion then more power to you. Regardless of which albums are among your elite list, one fact still remains true. Tech N9ne has and more than likely will continue to deliver bonafide classics our way.

tbh i liked K.O.D and All 6s and 7s more than Everready and Killer. They have their share of classic Tech tracks, but Everready has at least half a dozen tracks I don't like, and Killer has shit like Seven Words and The Waitress
BottledMindFrame said:Probably the most ridiculous statement I've had yet to read on this forum... I'm a huge fan of Hip Hop in general and just so happen to also avidly support Tech N9ne and Strange Music, so I'd say my judgement is far from biased. At the end of the day to each their own but if you are blind to the fact that Everready: The Religion and/or Killer are certifiable classics then I truly feel sorry for you. I've thoroughly enjoyed each of Tech N9ne's full length LPs, obviously some more than others, but those two projects in specific are undeniable. I guess the real question is, what does your definition of a classic sound like? Are you speaking in terms of sold units or recognition? If that's indeed how you measure up a true Hip Hop masterpiece, please proceed to slap the saliva out of your own lips. You seem very narrow and limited while even listing the few choices you consider "classics". I obviously don't expect everyone to share the same musical taste, especially when debating albums held in your highest regards, but blatantly claiming Tech N9ne still has yet to produce a solid classic is purely ignorant. You may have despised Michael Jackson, due to his past personal issues or even as an artist, but there isn't a single person alive who can deny that Thriller was/is an iconic album for the ages. The same principle would apply here. I'd say both Everready: The Religion and Killer contain just as much substance, lyricism, and extraordinary content as any of the albums you've named and beyond. "Just because you pour syrup on shit don't make it pancakes".
Living T said:As far as classics in the rap world go, Tech has none. SSLP is a classic. The Chronic is a classic. Doggystyle is a classic. Illmatic is a classic.
jwkstrange said:fuck the nelly n ross type features. i wanna see the features to a limit for sure. if hes 7 songs deep already i dont see why we couldnt get it by oct 30. n theres hella retarded statements n this thread (techs lazy, has no classics lmao gtfo)
Permalink Reply by Alex M on April 26, 2012 at 9:07pm Technically it stands for long playing. It was a phrase used for vinyl records. I think Tech considers solo albums as LP's. I think he has 4 different CD variations. LP, which is a solo album, EP, Which has 5-6 songs, Collabos, self explanatory, and Mixtape, rapping over beats that aren't original.
Aaron Ross said:
He says in the interview that his last LP was All 6's And 7's...and then says that he just put out a collabos. He talks of it like it's not an LP. What the fuck is an LP anyway...I've always thought of it as a studio album. An EP is an Extended Play off of something. Usually a prequel or (In Tech's cases) a sequel to a full length album (Since 2 of the 3 EPs Tech's put out were sequels to K.O.D.[The Losts Scripts Of K.O.D., Seepage]). Or sometimes there just random shit [Klusterfuk] thrown out there. But wtf does LP stand for?
