“The beats sound nothing like anything you’ve ever heard me on. The features that I’m going for are something you would never imagine. All I can say about it now is that it’s a very human album. What I mean by that is that it’s contradictory. On one song I say, ‘The saint is ours’, like we’re in the saint’s corner and then I have another song called ‘I’m Not A Saint’. It’s so beautiful because the King, the Clown, and the G are still present on this album.

There’s no apologies in what I’m saying. I don’t mind that it contradicts itself because that’s what people do.  The album is everywhere. It feels like it’s Hell, Purgatory and Heaven all over again. I’m telling stories that I’ve never told – that I was afraid to tell on some songs. It’s super personal and I’ve got a big chip on my shoulder again. It’s always been there, but it’s getting bigger having to prove to fans and critics that we ain’t goin’ nowhere.” -Tech N9ne from SM blog 2/8/13

"Tech was literally dancing in his seat with excitement about the new album and some of the featured artists on it. He couldn’t say who they were, but he did explain that the album will be broken up into three distinct sections — Fire, Water and Earth.

Fire, Tech said, will have darker tracks, but the CD will finish with a heavenly theme in the Earth portion.

“I’ve got some heavenly ‘We Are The World’ shit on this album, swear to God,” Tech said.

As for Water, Tech said he hasn’t quite decided, but possible themes might be partying or confusion." -DailyWIldCat.com 3/29/13

I can tell Fortune Force Field will be the best track on the album

I dont even think it was the best track off the sampler.

to each their own i suppose @Alex. That production was something I've been waiting to hear Tech spit over, and he killed it but I guess that's just me. Everything on the Sampler was dope except Get Out of My Face or w/e from Krizz.

Mayday killed it, Shots Fired is mad dope.

Rittz was solid, idk if he's really my style but he's dope for sure.

Wreckonize was sick on both tracks, I like that he's making it really conceptual with his tracks. Production was sick.

I was a bit disappointed in Prozak's tracks though, he's kind of moving from the aggressive dark stuff to a more introspective and relaxed style, but I his flow was a bit off and rushed I think on the title track. The style is cool, since he still has the dope lyrics, but I think it's going to be a bit repetitive. I just anticipated a darker and more aggressive vibe to it but I'll reserve judgement.

Kaliko was dope on Kill For Your Love, but it wasn't what I expected. Still interested in the sound his album is going to have.

Stevie Stone was coo. Beats are bangers for sure, dude has cool verses but I can't listen to his stuff for too long tbh.

Tech killed everything except for Dwamn, idk wtf that was. Thizzlers needs another listen though

anyone else having trouble with the sampler link?

Every single track on the sampler was amazing. I see lots of people hating on kaliko. What he's doing is brilliant. Switching up his voice really meshes well with the beat. Im stoked for every release.

Yea. Not sure why it isn't working. try this.

Rick Ross is supposed to be on Heaven and hell. I doubt tech would have him on the album twice.

Fuck. I hope that's true.

and he says wait til you hear who else is on it...its crazy! ...and then some dude on youtube put he heard eminem and rick ross are supposed to be on that one.  who knows if that is true but DAMN could you imagine em trying to top that verse????!!!

I agree with that. Most people didn't like it, but I also liked Shock Treatment. I was mostly meaning his EP and things.

And I hate the beat for "Thizzles" because of that sample or whatever to be real. Despite that though, I don'tknow if Danny Brown is a big enough name to not count it out for being a bonus song. A track with Pill was from A6s7s.

interesting. I thought Kicking and Screaming was light years ahead of his previous albums.

The tracks were okay for me. I liked parts, but not too much really got me all that excited. And some of the artists keep sounding like they are trying to be way too different. Kaliko used to be my favorite, now i don't know. I still like some of his stuff, but most doesn't click for me.

As for the album cover, I really don't like it. It doesn't look like it fits with his past album art and I think it looks like a weird fan Photoshop that tried to reference things too much in it. And I like to pre-order and support, but I can't if I need to wait for retail to get the deluxe of every album and especially if there are store exclusive tracks.

I'm very dissapointed in the album artwork, the fire looks out of place, the box around the heart shouldn't be there, the body is just simple and thrown in. I've taken quite a few Graphic Design classes, and my teachers would fail me for that album art work.
