“The beats sound nothing like anything you’ve ever heard me on. The features that I’m going for are something you would never imagine. All I can say about it now is that it’s a very human album. What I mean by that is that it’s contradictory. On one song I say, ‘The saint is ours’, like we’re in the saint’s corner and then I have another song called ‘I’m Not A Saint’. It’s so beautiful because the King, the Clown, and the G are still present on this album.
There’s no apologies in what I’m saying. I don’t mind that it contradicts itself because that’s what people do. The album is everywhere. It feels like it’s Hell, Purgatory and Heaven all over again. I’m telling stories that I’ve never told – that I was afraid to tell on some songs. It’s super personal and I’ve got a big chip on my shoulder again. It’s always been there, but it’s getting bigger having to prove to fans and critics that we ain’t goin’ nowhere.” -Tech N9ne from SM blog 2/8/13
"Tech was literally dancing in his seat with excitement about the new album and some of the featured artists on it. He couldn’t say who they were, but he did explain that the album will be broken up into three distinct sections — Fire, Water and Earth.
Fire, Tech said, will have darker tracks, but the CD will finish with a heavenly theme in the Earth portion.
“I’ve got some heavenly ‘We Are The World’ shit on this album, swear to God,” Tech said.
As for Water, Tech said he hasn’t quite decided, but possible themes might be partying or confusion." -DailyWIldCat.com 3/29/13
Seeing as how something else has two separate sections on this sampler, cover seems based of ebah, which means seepage isnt far behind, and considering all the features, really looking like a double disc. thatd be, so dope
I'm going to have to update OP later. My girlfriend won't stop chirping my damn ear off.
God damn, B.I.T.C.H. is awesome!!!! Thank god Future wasn't on this he would of made it unlistenable! T-Pain does a great job! Man 2 months is gonna be a killer wait.
HOLY SHIT, These tracks are amazing.
Something Else sounds incredible to me so far, also loved Shots Fired by Mayday. Only track that I didn't like at all was Get Out My Face by Krizz.
Great cover, looks like All 6's And 7's
And incredible Snippet !! B.I.T.C.H. is dope
I'm not a huge fan of the cover, but i don't hate it either.
I think i'm just disappointed because i was expecting something really shocking lol.
I don't know why there was such a big fuse about the cover. Not really controversial at all. The covers alright. I'm not sure about the illustrative style combined with the faux picture frame though. The actual illustration is alright, but Liquid Nine seems to be lacking in the layout department recently. All the albums have been text on the left, image on the right. Very static. A Tech N9ne cover could be a lot more dynamic design wise. Wish Tech's album art was on the same level as his own work. Liquid Nine did alright, but it's just mediocre.
