“The beats sound nothing like anything you’ve ever heard me on. The features that I’m going for are something you would never imagine. All I can say about it now is that it’s a very human album. What I mean by that is that it’s contradictory. On one song I say, ‘The saint is ours’, like we’re in the saint’s corner and then I have another song called ‘I’m Not A Saint’. It’s so beautiful because the King, the Clown, and the G are still present on this album.
There’s no apologies in what I’m saying. I don’t mind that it contradicts itself because that’s what people do. The album is everywhere. It feels like it’s Hell, Purgatory and Heaven all over again. I’m telling stories that I’ve never told – that I was afraid to tell on some songs. It’s super personal and I’ve got a big chip on my shoulder again. It’s always been there, but it’s getting bigger having to prove to fans and critics that we ain’t goin’ nowhere.” -Tech N9ne from SM blog 2/8/13
"Tech was literally dancing in his seat with excitement about the new album and some of the featured artists on it. He couldn’t say who they were, but he did explain that the album will be broken up into three distinct sections — Fire, Water and Earth.
Fire, Tech said, will have darker tracks, but the CD will finish with a heavenly theme in the Earth portion.
“I’ve got some heavenly ‘We Are The World’ shit on this album, swear to God,” Tech said.
As for Water, Tech said he hasn’t quite decided, but possible themes might be partying or confusion." -DailyWIldCat.com 3/29/13

Permalink Reply by CHainedOwl on March 9, 2013 at 1:56am I'm looking forward to hearing WWC2, but I've been a constituent for the anti-WWC2 party. In the back of my mind I think...
1) Will Twista and Busta Rhymes be on it?
---> I think they have to be. How can you have any big choppers track now without two of the best choppers ever? A successful sequel requires a fundamental contrast from the original (except for The Hangover series, evidently). But they take up most of the song, i.e. not too much change. Who do you replace those two guys with to produce a better song than WWC? If you live in a world where pigs fly and Detox/Amafrican Psycho are in stores, then one answer for star power is Luda and Em. In THIS world, the answer is no one. You gotta keep them in the series to maintain quality even though it won't be as big a wow! factor as it was with WWC.
2) I really hope the beat can top WWC's
---> I don't know if it will for me personally. Beginning where MWC2 left off, the small rock element, and the rhythm made for a perfect sound.
3) I hope Wrekonize is on it
---> I'd love him to have 16 bars. You could say his name's too small for that big of a slot in such a song, and that's valid. But he'd kill it. See "Higher Freestyle" (Wrek and ¡MAYDAY! enthusiasts can give more examples).
4) How will the structure of the song compare to WWC?
---> For me, WWC was perfect in structure. Give 2 bars to the international guys, 2-4 for the underground guys, 16 to the popular ones. It barely allows the "worldwide" tag, but I don't care. I hope Tech ends up following a similar model for WWC2. Combining Snow (meh) and Daddy Yankee (!) for 8 could be tight.
5) I really didn't like MWC and MWC2, but WWC was perfect. The fuck?
---> I can't accurately judge much based on a sample size of three, but I've got nothing else. The data shows I'm hit and miss with chopper tracks. The odds say I won't like it. I think the suspense and following the progress of WWC2 will be more entertaining than the actual song. I'm not getting my hopes up on this track. But, as I said with "Colorado," I'll be happy to be wrong.

Permalink Reply by Jerm on March 9, 2013 at 3:10am So I guess WWC2 is definitely happening now? I'm sure it will be pretty good, but it just seems out of place. Leaving it as a trilogy makes sense. WWC took elements from the first two plus some of it's own sound which really made it such a great finale. I'd much rather Tech come up with a new concept but I guess the demand is just way up there for another one.
Permalink Reply by GreatScott on March 9, 2013 at 3:29am I somewhat agree, but give JL at least 8 bars, turn him loose on this one. 4 bars wasnt enough...but hes already on S.E on another track for now, maybe WWC2
