“The beats sound nothing like anything you’ve ever heard me on. The features that I’m going for are something you would never imagine. All I can say about it now is that it’s a very human album. What I mean by that is that it’s contradictory. On one song I say, ‘The saint is ours’, like we’re in the saint’s corner and then I have another song called ‘I’m Not A Saint’. It’s so beautiful because the King, the Clown, and the G are still present on this album.

There’s no apologies in what I’m saying. I don’t mind that it contradicts itself because that’s what people do.  The album is everywhere. It feels like it’s Hell, Purgatory and Heaven all over again. I’m telling stories that I’ve never told – that I was afraid to tell on some songs. It’s super personal and I’ve got a big chip on my shoulder again. It’s always been there, but it’s getting bigger having to prove to fans and critics that we ain’t goin’ nowhere.” -Tech N9ne from SM blog 2/8/13

Not necessarily true. Tech has said before that he has had acts signed to strange music that he does not care for.

EDIT: tech obviously does like lynch's style, he's said so a bunch of times, but saying that tech only signs artists that he likes is wrong.

Chris Mathews said:

If tech didn't like lynchs style he wouldnt have signed him. If he's not on the album its not because of his ripgut style.

He likes Lynch but his style really doesn't fit on an album like 6's and 7's. I'm guessing this upcoming album will be in a similar vein. Not a huge fan of having so many colabos on the album but I could see why it's being done. That's how Tech is able to get so much material out. For some perspective, Mannibalector was worked on for a year. Lynch took his time with it and barely has colabos. Considering Tech easily makes the most bank for the label, I'm sure there's pressure for him not to take as long.

I know tech says he's signed acts he doesnt care for and that he had signed one act as a favor. But hes known lynch for 20 years and is re signing him, he wouldnt do so if he didn't like his style. I never said he only signs acts he likes, but its clear he likes lynch, especially with the re signing.

For everyone complaining about all the collabs, how do you think he's getting the mainstream to go Tech? This is how, star studded features. I love solo Tech songs as much as the next Tech fan and wish we could get a true solo album but it will never happen.

Bizzy, Oobergook, Snow, and Lebowski are gonna help mainstream go Tech? lol

I was mainly talking about the mainstream features obviously lol but I think he puts those people you mentioned on tracks with big names so they get the spotlight, clearly he's trying to put people on. For example, Hopsin was already on his way up in the game but when Tech put him on with B.O.B., that's when he really started to get noticed.

Ill Mind of Hopsin 4 is when Hopsin really started to get noticed.

You right, that's kinda what I meant by he was already on his way up in the game, being featured with Tech and B.O.B. put his name everywhere though and really made the industry take him seriously.

yeah i get that. but he needs to save those for the collabo albums, because I'm not that interested in them

To be fair, I personally think he was hinting at Skatterman and Snug Brim. Specifically Skatterman because at around the same time as that interview (if it's the same one), Skatterman had been saying some foul shit in interviews. Tech said something along the lines of "I use to do favors for people" in terms of putting out their music, but then concluded with something like "I don't favors anymore". If you look at some of his recent signings (Ces, Mayday, Rittz, Stevie Stone) it looks like he's signing people he truly stands behind. He went after Hopsin, he went after Snow. He's supposedly trying to get JL. I don't know, he also signed lolprozak.
