“The beats sound nothing like anything you’ve ever heard me on. The features that I’m going for are something you would never imagine. All I can say about it now is that it’s a very human album. What I mean by that is that it’s contradictory. On one song I say, ‘The saint is ours’, like we’re in the saint’s corner and then I have another song called ‘I’m Not A Saint’. It’s so beautiful because the King, the Clown, and the G are still present on this album.
There’s no apologies in what I’m saying. I don’t mind that it contradicts itself because that’s what people do. The album is everywhere. It feels like it’s Hell, Purgatory and Heaven all over again. I’m telling stories that I’ve never told – that I was afraid to tell on some songs. It’s super personal and I’ve got a big chip on my shoulder again. It’s always been there, but it’s getting bigger having to prove to fans and critics that we ain’t goin’ nowhere.” -Tech N9ne from SM blog 2/8/13
"Tech was literally dancing in his seat with excitement about the new album and some of the featured artists on it. He couldn’t say who they were, but he did explain that the album will be broken up into three distinct sections — Fire, Water and Earth.
Fire, Tech said, will have darker tracks, but the CD will finish with a heavenly theme in the Earth portion.
“I’ve got some heavenly ‘We Are The World’ shit on this album, swear to God,” Tech said.
As for Water, Tech said he hasn’t quite decided, but possible themes might be partying or confusion." -DailyWIldCat.com 3/29/13

Would be pretty dope if we were surprised with "Something Else" as a Double LP

If Tech can perfectly place the features and not overload the album, this will be Tech N9ne's best album of all time. I'm saying that right now. --> agreed
Permalink Reply by MasterMind619 on February 9, 2013 at 5:11pm He's got to do it again at some point. Although not opposed to it, that could mean that we will prob get some filler material to fill up the album. I'd rather hear 14, 15 tracks of his best ones

Permalink Reply by Jerm on February 9, 2013 at 5:17pm This. I rather he take his time on top quality tracks. Doesn't have be a lot. I want to hear some substance. Yeah, sure a few could be the sex/party tracks but make them creative. Hunterish is a good example. Everybody Move's lyrics aren't anything special but the delivery really makes that track. I wouldn't mind something awesome like that.

Permalink Reply by a tie a on February 10, 2013 at 1:06am i'm glad he's pushing it back, gotta let the man do what he's gotta do to make this perfect, with his own work and collabs he's probably looking for.
That said on the collab list, what my main problem is that his features aren't anything that really makes me excited. The Macklemore track looks mad dope for sure, but I don't care for verses from Bizzy or Lebowski or Oobergeek or even Daddy Yankee. I want to see him reach out to the other realms of independent hip hop, like RA the Rugged Man, Apathy, K'naan, or Ill Bill or XV or someone like that. then it'd be more interesting
Permalink Reply by Alex M on February 10, 2013 at 1:44am The XV feature would be nice.

Permalink Reply by Jake Garrity on February 10, 2013 at 3:10am Anyone else think it'd be dope if he got Ab-Soul on it? Not sure how it would come out but if him and Macklemore can make a track then I'm sure there's a place for Soulo
Permalink Reply by Rodrick Benavidez on February 10, 2013 at 3:12am ill bill would be dope i would like to see a la coka nostra collab personally

Permalink Reply by G.K.paypa$tak$ on February 10, 2013 at 3:21am Id really like to see Em get on psycho bitch 3, that would be dope. The macklemore track got me excited, and even it getting pushed back did. I agree tech should venture out a little bit, but it would be nice to here some of the features; the doors, slipknot, hopsin, bob & whatever WWC turns out to be
