Releases:
“The beats sound nothing like anything you’ve ever heard me on. The features that I’m going for are something you would never imagine. All I can say about it now is that it’s a very human album. What I mean by that is that it’s contradictory. On one song I say, ‘The saint is ours’, like we’re in the saint’s corner and then I have another song called ‘I’m Not A Saint’. It’s so beautiful because the King, the Clown, and the G are still present on this album.
There’s no apologies in what I’m saying. I don’t mind that it contradicts itself because that’s what people do. The album is everywhere. It feels like it’s Hell, Purgatory and Heaven all over again. I’m telling stories that I’ve never told – that I was afraid to tell on some songs. It’s super personal and I’ve got a big chip on my shoulder again. It’s always been there, but it’s getting bigger having to prove to fans and critics that we ain’t goin’ nowhere.” -Tech N9ne from SM blog 2/8/13

Permalink Reply by CHainedOwl on February 2, 2013 at 11:14pm 1) Looks like all Strange artists will be on Colorado, not just Stevie Stone. I'm interested to hear how that turns out, since last time this was done was for EMJ and there's been a lot of growth since.
2) "Colorado" sounds like a song which singles out all their hyped shows/fans in CO, especially if it's a "hard ass beat"; not really a song for all Tech fans. I hope that doesn't ruin it for me. But then, why would B.o.B be on it (unless he did the beat and it already had him on it)? Maybe I'm forgetting something. I'm sure it'll be dope regardless.
Permalink Reply by Mizery_Made on February 2, 2013 at 11:18pm Tech indicated Drumma Boy did the beat for Colorado, Chained Owl.
Permalink Reply by CHainedOwl on February 2, 2013 at 11:20pm You're right. Even more curious to me now, as far as what the song's about.

Permalink Reply by Living T on February 3, 2013 at 12:19am Unless its a follow-up to Fire in AC.
EDIT:
On COLORADO, ALL STRANGERS, @drummaboyFRESH ON THE BEAT AND JUST GUESS WHO'S ON THE HOOK! THE GUY WHO SINGS THE HOOK ON AM I A PSYCHO!
Okay, just confirming.
Colorado will be produced by Drumma Boy and will feature everyone from Strange Music plus B.o.B. on the hook. Fire In AC was more angry and attacking James Holmes. So, yeah, this one will probably be a tribute, similar to EMJ.

Permalink Reply by Alex M on February 3, 2013 at 12:48am I also thought this. I think you're right about being a song dedicated to Colorado for being Tech and Strange Music's biggest market and showing Strange that they are the most dedicated fans.

Permalink Reply by CHainedOwl on February 3, 2013 at 1:19am I'd rather it be about this than another tribute song for the Aurora, CO shooting (at the risk of sounding insensitive). But little things like that make me enjoy his songs less. I respect that he writes his life, but sometimes I wish he wouldn't be so on the nose about it...over time I can't enjoy a song about tweeting on my tour bus or ravenous Colorado fans.
Maybe I'm wrong about this whole Colorado thing though. Either way, I'd look forward to hearing a single song with Tech, Krizz, Kutt, Wrek/Bernz, Ces Cru, Stone, Jay Rock, and B.o.B (I could live without Scoob, Prozak (!) and BLH when he's a cannibal).
