“The beats sound nothing like anything you’ve ever heard me on. The features that I’m going for are something you would never imagine. All I can say about it now is that it’s a very human album. What I mean by that is that it’s contradictory. On one song I say, ‘The saint is ours’, like we’re in the saint’s corner and then I have another song called ‘I’m Not A Saint’. It’s so beautiful because the King, the Clown, and the G are still present on this album.

There’s no apologies in what I’m saying. I don’t mind that it contradicts itself because that’s what people do.  The album is everywhere. It feels like it’s Hell, Purgatory and Heaven all over again. I’m telling stories that I’ve never told – that I was afraid to tell on some songs. It’s super personal and I’ve got a big chip on my shoulder again. It’s always been there, but it’s getting bigger having to prove to fans and critics that we ain’t goin’ nowhere.” -Tech N9ne from SM blog 2/8/13

"Tech was literally dancing in his seat with excitement about the new album and some of the featured artists on it. He couldn’t say who they were, but he did explain that the album will be broken up into three distinct sections — Fire, Water and Earth.

Fire, Tech said, will have darker tracks, but the CD will finish with a heavenly theme in the Earth portion.

“I’ve got some heavenly ‘We Are The World’ shit on this album, swear to God,” Tech said.

As for Water, Tech said he hasn’t quite decided, but possible themes might be partying or confusion." -DailyWIldCat.com 3/29/13

I still doubt that most of this shit will even happen. Usually Tech only gets like 3 features an album truthfully unless he has a special track like world wide choppers or the sickology 101 track. Which is because he has to as he says "hear" that person on the track in order to try and "get" them for it in the first place. Which is why Tech usually says for rappers to call him and ask to be featured on his CD's because he then can try to find a beat that'll work for them.

So really, that right there answers a lot because honestly most of his beats wouldn't work for a lot of rappers and they'd sound wrong on it if they tried to rap on it anyway. Which is why I think he ends up never getting as many of the features hes always wanted that are still technically at his reaches. The rest, well they're either rappers that are obviously too busy or controlled by their labels contract and or they just don't like Tech enough to do it if it doesn't mean radio play.

Gucci Mane has never mentioned Tech.

He didnt mean featuring them? He is saying those are artists wanting to work WITH HIM, Not him featuring them. He was talking about featuring, Em, Nas, Rick Ross, MArsha Ambrosius and possibly Rocsoe

I just watched the interview. Gucci Mane? Are you shitting me.

Gucci doesnt have to come out in an interview to tell Tech he'd like to work with him.

The only one in the interview that he said came up to him asking to work with him is Waka. Let's look past both Gucci and Flocka. Roscoe Dash is god awful! And Tech clearly said that he wants him. Tech is reaching out to Roscoe Dash.

The only reason I can think of why Tech would possibly want Roscoe Dash, Waka or Gucci on his album is to play the BET game seeing how well Am I a Psycho did with B.O.B.

He can get someone better than one of those 3 tho. He could get Wale or Pusha T if he wanted to do that. Roscoe Dash would most likely only be doing a chorus which isn't bad.

idk, you have to hear the chorus 2-4 times in a song, even though a verse is usually longer you'd only have to skip it once

please no Rick Ross, no Roscoe or w/e, no Waka....

get Talib though, dude's dope

and I don't think many people were mad about getting B.o.B either... just don't get straight up wack people

I wouldn't mind Wale..I think he is good

If Tech gets all the features he has mentioned in the last month there will be 18 features. That's not counting any Strange features. That's WAY to many.

To be fair he was just talking about people he wants to get a feature from, in the recent interview. Not all for the new album, just at any point. He explained that when he meets someone his head instantly thinks what he could do musically with them so he has a lot of ideas and people he wants to work with but I'm sure he'll limit himself on features for the album. Tech has the beats, he has ideas and he knows who he feels would fit the tracks. Who makes the new album will depend on the beats chosen, the ideas formed and which songs make the final cut.

Personally I have no problem with him working with any artist, just as long as if it's a Tech record then he keeps his signature sound and style and makes the featured artist come out of their comfort zone. A6A7 was a good album but in my mind at times a little too commercial feeling to incorporate other artists. If he does his shit and doesn't think of the features style etc.. then asks them to do it, either they can do it or they can't, if they can't move on, if they can then cool. That's how I'd be working. Maybe my expectations are way too high for this album but I just don't want Tech to shift from his roots too far because for so many years it has worked and where other artists have changed with times Tech hasn't needed to due to the rawness involved.

Hey so I was thinking about some random features for this album and wanted to know how you guys would feel about Tech working with them. The rappers that came to mind were Pusha T, Big KRIT, Royce Da 5'9 (again), Joe Budden, Stalley, ScHoolboy Q and Jadakiss.
