From listening to Seepage which is awesome. I was thinking that Tech said he want to go into the light. His LP formula is from what im taking it as is gonna be more for everyone (ie. Tech fans and new listeners) such as OGMP and 6s and 7s the way i'm taking it. The old school Tech heads such as myself and many others on here we are used to his dark shit. I like the new stuff as well too. So i think he should stick to his formula for his LPs as trying to expand his music to the masses as his party music and when the darkness surfaces in him drop another EP for his fans that like his darker stuff such as Seepage. No need to run from the darkness we all have it in us. Just balance it as the light in his albums and the dark in the EPs. Does anyone else agree?

i dont have a problem with the light i would but i would rather it be like shit on everready. i would rather him do more dark stuffon his solo shit and he can do the light shit on the collabos
The thing I don't understand is Tech's reasoning behind his concept of light and dark and why he sometimes acts as if he is only capable of doing one or the other . He puts himself in a box. Lets take a look at some of his "lighter" material. It includes partying, beautiful women and making money.

Now look at his "dark" material. It includes greed, lust and self indulgence. The thing is that both are talking about the same damn thing. The things that make him happy are the things that eventually hurt him. Sounds like a normal human being if you ask me.

Thats what makes us human. We are the most complex, the most beautiful and the most putrid species on the face of this planet. When Tech says he's making "dark" music ,it sounds to me like he lets his guard down and becomes brutally honest.
I dont really consider Tech do be that dark at all. He just doesnt make soft ass music. I think that us as fans as well as Tech are mistakenly throwing a lot his music into the category of "dark" in the first place. Yeah he has some darker material , but what talented artist doesnt???
Yeah, I really don't see why some people dislike anything he does if it isn't dark. I don't mind him not being dark if he's putting things out like Everready, which isn't dark at all but still hard as hell! I don't want Tech to always make sad/dark music, his party shit is tight too
Motha fuckin this, well said my friend

I think we should just let Tech do what he feels. He's been doing that his whole career and it's gotten him this far. With anything new and different there will be someone mad at him. So since he cannot win he should at least please himself.
I have no problem with either styles. I agree 100% with what Duke said. I agree with le Tech do what ever he wants. I put up this post because of what it says on the back of the seepage case about how he dosnt want to talk about Seepage untill he can find a balance. I think that what I stated above is a good way of balancing the 2. Plus I just read Seepage topped the Itunes chart. Plus a good way to throw some extra bread in there pockets once a year.
he said he want to go into the light but i meen in life evil n darkness is certain i meen some1 kali was close to passed and tech moms in the ward no matter who u r ur not gonna be in the light when so one passes or is sick n im preetty sure all 6s n 7s will have darkness on it and some light but its tech
agreed

Dukecityspecialist is on point from the jump-what's going to make Tech appeal is his ability to convey BOTH sides, and not just stick to one. I became a fan because he had the balance, not because it was all of one-that's just me, though.
