that dosnt make any sense, if rap/hiphop is radio/airplay then how is tech number 7 when he dosnt have any radio or air play?

I meant to say, it counts sales AND radio play, and Tech has gotten a little (not too much, though) radio play in some parts of the country.

Actually, let me research some more before I continue to speak on this.

I found this...

"the rap/hip hop and rap charts include radio plays i think. if it's anything like the top 200 used to be, then a sample of radio stations send in a ranking of who they think are the hottest."

And thats from someone who studied it, and wrote a master thesis paper on it in college.

even if he does get some or very little radio play, its not enough to make it to number 7......

But if you factor in the sales he had, along with the minimal radio play.

What he says would make sense, if they're tallying in sales and a "Who's the hottest" depending on requests and what not.

Of course, you can discredit me saying this, because I know very little on the subject.

I can promise you, though, the Billboards aren't fucking with Tech because he's Tech.

It's about fuckin time Tech got the respect he deserves even though he deserves way more tech is without a doubt one of the best rappers out here today he's #1 on my list of rappers, he's talented and original everybody else out here follows the "monkey see monkey do" rule, keep up the great work tech.

Same thing for the Brian McKnight album... Tech beats him in everything but not R&B/Hip-hop

The Billboards 200 chart is right and TechN9ne sold way more albums than TripleC's. BUt then magically TripleCs is beating K.O.D. in hiphop and Rap section.... Its pretty fucking stupid.

I guess if radio play is the reason why he is lower than he should be, it goes to show another reason why the industry is punk. Tech N9ne sells 2x as many albums as TripleC's (im guessing..but i know tech sold alot more) but then that means the Radios are playing TripleC's 4x more than K.O.D. songs. Pretty B-U-L-L-S-H-I-T!
But, its not all bad becuase With the Mtvu woodies coming ( and if tech doesnt win that...then it was 1000% rigged) and Shots after Shots with 3-6mafia will keep Tech really relevant for the rest of the year. And if anything that will help his next album a TON! becuase the first week or two of an album's sales are all based on hype of what the artist has done before.
