So I was at the park smoking a blunt with some Friends and I put "Im a Slacker" by Tech n9ne from his Absolute Power Album on and one of my friends noticed something Tech said and he told me to play Hypnotized by Notorious B.I.G. And I instantly dropped my jaw from what I heard.

Has anyone else noticed that on Slacker At around 40 Seconds Tech says

"So I just, grip my piece, rip off fleece
Out to take ya lip off chief, with my peeps"

On Hypnotized by Biggie at around the same time He says

"So I just speak my piece, keep my piece
Cubans with the Jesus piece, with my peeps"

Listen to the 2 songs yourself, It sounds the same Flow wise aswell, Now Im not here to EXPOSE TECH N9NE Saying hes a terrible rapper or anything like Lilwayne, Drake ETC But I just thought Its kind of funny that he pulled that, I could not find anything on the internet about it either so I figured id ask to see what others think. I still love Tech N9ne and will Continue to buy all of his albums but That shit struck me hard, What do yall think about this. Biting is Biting no-matter how you look at it keep that in mind. I hope I didn't Ruin Tech N9ne for anyone Because hes still one of the best.

thats not even the only time he bites another rapper in that song, beginning of the 2nd verse sound familiar?

are you kidding me he did that on purpose i think its cool as hell when he quotes rappers and in other genres of music like jazz your almost supposed to steal other rifts and shit
Yup yup Tech does this in other songs too he just takes the way someone sounds and mixes it up in his style its dope like in celsius he uses corey harts sunglasses at night but mixed it up in a verse ha dope shit.
lmao the whole song he twists other classic lines thats not bitting.
personally I like when he does it, like that other dude mentioned, it shows how techs much more than a rapper by taking lines, melodies and concepts from other songs, especially from other than rap (The mozart part in come gangsta), its hard NOT to take lines from other people, if you like the line why not pay homage to it

He also did the same kinda thing to eminem on the song by Uso. International player. Sounded like it atleast. He does that alot.
Tech has taken many lines, it isn't biting, more like paying tribute to those who inspired him.

I been in the game for ten years makin rap tunes
ever since honeys was wearin sassoon
Now it's '95 and they clock me and watch me
Diamonds shinin lookin like I robbed Liberace - Dr Dre

I been in the game 16 years making rap tunes,
raising hella havoc up in the classroom
now in 02 you can watch me
clownin' diamonds shining watchin' dvd's on
The Hachitachi - Tech N9ne
Krizz takes a line from biggie on be right back from genius. He says "do sumn to us, talk go through us.." Biggie says the same shit in a song, I jus don't remember which one.
did u also notice he waz biting other people rhymes da whole song... Dr. Dre, Biggie, etc.
So do you guys think that perhaps this is one of his songs that had been meant to be a joke as if Hes a slacker so he makes a song full of biting? I dont know..?
Guys I figured it out, It tuns out every line He steals and mixes up is at the same Time on Im a Slacker as it is on the actual song hes biting from, So pretty much Its meant to be like that purposely and Its quite funny, Both the 2 Pack song second verse starts at around 1:30 Same on the slacker, Hypnotized Bigs Lyric on first verse is around 45 Seconds, same as Slacker, So yeah shits funny, Sorry n Shit
