In this interview for hiphop dx, at the very top of the page it says Tech's new cd is called Welcome To Strangeland and that it will be released on Nov 8

All he said was something about a solo in September so I'd assume Klusterfuck but since Tech did'nt specificaly say Klusterfuck, I did'nt either.

are you talking bout klusterfuck? thats an ep

On the blog post he said he plans on having a solo out next month.

Too bad it says that he hopes to release on his birthday, its definately not confirmed
I'm pretty positive he was referencing September of 2012 but hey I could be wrong. Makes the most sense though because right when he was talking about that he mentioned the K.A.B.O.S.H. and 816 Boyz album as well as Strangeland which are all still pre-production if that. He also said he was still waiting for the name of the next solo to come to him so that would lead me to believe that he's not talking about the Klusterfuck (EP) which we should get soon here. Who knows really though? Only time will tell, very interesting interview.

All I know is Tech said himself he has no control over his release dates. The fact that it's being released on his birthday could be planned, but since he said he doesn't choose it himself I'm going to assume someone else set it up that way. Could have been Travis, I don't know.

matt meyer said:

thats untrue.

ya trav will probly give him a date he wants it on but if tech really wanted to he could say fuck it and push his own album back as far as he would like. he owns the damn label he can do watever he wants.

He actually doesn't get to choose his release dates. He's talked about it in an interview before when they asked him about the All 6's And 7's June 7th release date.

November 8th is his b-day, that's why he wants that as a release date.

Mac Thunder with the win

Does this mean the Welcome To Strangeland release date is confirmed?

Yeah, he was doing his tour, but he also said he had a lot of materiall recorded while doing 6's and 7's. Its pretty akward that tech is releasing a cd 2 months after he already releaed one.
It's 5 months after his last one

It's really not that unprecedented. Tech's been pretty consistent about getting in the studio right after his album promotional tours are over. There were less than six months between Sickology 101 and K.O.D., and he's released seven albums over the past five years, plus two EPs and a mixtape. If you ask me, it's a sign that his brain is just overflowing with material he wants to put out. That's fantastic for us techn9cians.

idk, when i got chs there was a shit ton of ep's coming out an a paper that came with it, id like to see all of them come out before he drops a new album. but then again a new album would explode people's minds and i wouldnt mind that.
The only EP not coming out is KLUSTERFUK. Lynch passed up on his.
