REVEALED FROM BIG SCOOB'S BLOG:

"Even though Big Scoob has taken a short break from the spotlight, he hasn’t let up in his hustle. Recently, Scoob announced to fans over Twitter that he had been working on a verse for Young Bleed, who was recently confirmed by Tech N9ne to have signed with Strange Music. Young Bleed is said to be the first act signed to Strange Music’s subsidiary, Strange Lane. Scoob would go on to also confirm Young Bleed’s status with the label, leaving no more doubt from fans. Scoob has been known to be one of the sharpest MCs when it comes to guest features, and with Young Bleed expected to release new material soon, this could only lead to big things."

Very excited to see what they end up doing with Strange Lane and how many more acts may be able to shine through this! Your thoughts? Who would you like to see possibly signed to Strange Lane?

yeah, Kendrick Lamar from T.D.E. or even Crooked I from C.O.B. records

Nesto's not bad. I think him and Craig Smith would sound legit in a group together. Their styles complimented each other on In The Air pretty well. I'd also love for Strange to pick up more artists from T.D.E. too such as Ab-Soul and Kendrick Lamar. I think the world just might implode on itself if that happened.

NESTO!!!!!!! Dude Should've been signed to Strange Already! He's SICK!

Crooked I would also sound excellent with the Strange camp. Same thing applies with Chino XL too. Not quite sure where they're currently signed at or if they're even available to be picked up by anyone. If so both would be phenomenal choices though.

Crooked I is part of Slaughterhouse, which is signed to Shady. I'm not sure if they're individually signed or if it is exclusively them as a group though.
You make a good point. Even if he were to put out a solo I'm sure Shady would get first dibs before Strange.

Yeah, I'm sure. I KNOW Shady would back Royce. I'm wondering a bit about the rest. Joe Budden is my favorite in Slaughterhouse (and one of my favorites all-time), and I'm unsure if they're back an album by him. Idk why.

A lot of people are dropping big names for Strange Lane, but I don't think anyone who has a big, mainstream following (Xzibit, DMX, Crooked I) would be put on a subsidy of an independent Midwest label. I could see Hopsin though. He's got quite a buzz outside of his area. So, i think he'd be the best fit aside from local KC artists.

I was just talking about this in chat lol. I think we should all put together some kind of e-petition for Knock Madness to be released through Strange Lane. The only reason a Hopsin feature appeared on A6A7 was due to his fan-base's overwhelming support for him. Maybe the same might happen for Knock Madness if pushed hard enough? Siikez made a good point when I proposed this though. Hopsin may just want to put out Knock Madness independently through Funk Volume and continue to build on his own.

Oh yeah, that is true. Funk Volume is like HIS. And that project is something he's been working on through it. The petition sounds like a nice idea. I do agree that he probably would want to put it out independently, and rightfully so. But maybe after it's release, the buzz for the album can build even more after with news of him being signed to Strange Lane.
u can add strange lane records on facebook
It could be done in a small joint venture, kind of like how Jay Rock's Black Friday mixtape was a Top Dawg Entertainment release backed by Strange Music after his signing.

Was it really? I don't know all that much about Top Dawg Ent. That seems like it'd be possible then.

Although, it would be a very different venture with Hopsin. I'm sure he doesn't want to put it out as a free mixtape like Jay Rock did. Things always get crazy complicated when money's involved.

Yeah that is true. The money issue. Maybe Hospin could do a small mixtape or something though. To have something to release through Strange Lane. I know he'd put heart even into something small. He's one of the best currently. He has a big underground following and hopefully got a lot more attention after "Am I A Psycho?" was heard.

On a side note, I really liked Jay Rock's Black Friday. Particularly bc of the track "Walk With Me".
