All me bitching. VIP packages went up $25 each. Shirts went up $5 each. You released EP's "so the fans had music to hold them over". When the real reason was to make some extra money because some of those EP's were straight garbage. You guys seem to be getting a little money hungry. Strange Music might be getting more well known and richer but most of us fans aren't. End vent

wow, i come across thos thread and had to read it from begining to current befor stating my opinions. How about we look at a number of things here. Tours cost money, videos, editing merchandising, all of it costs money. I think as a fan it doesnt phase me to spend money on something if i want it. They offer differents kinds of merch if u dont rock or buy merch you still got the music or jus a live concert to se..if you can afford a meet and greet and its something you really wanna do cool, no one is pushing this down your throats. Shipping costs have gone up as have production costs, they have a full staff of people in their deartments so they have a payroll they need to adhere to.

the e.p.s are really meant for a REAL hardcore fan of the artist...cause if your a hardcore fan of that artist getting the music and supporting it you don't feel bad about cause your waiting for that next full length almost immediately .Personally I liked the e.p.s from last yr for the most part, about the only one that I didn't care for was EBAH, it wasnt a bad e.p. it grew on me a little but that one just didn't hold my attention except for the don't tweet this and that was cause of the video.

I really like ces cru, the moment i heard them on the "bad season mixtape" i liked the delivery and styles, I got to see them perform and book them and they were really humble honest dudes, really into the music, and making it quality...you can look at each artist on the label differently because everyone has their own image, and style, their own "packaged branding"  but they all have their own quality of music.

Stevie stone, after hearing his first album "new kid comin" I liked that album except for "wait a minute"  red wine, 573, rap game callin those songs were just fresh, and heavy on the beat... definitely gets me amp'ed up with energy.off the "rollin stone" you have keep my name out ya mouth, my remedy, and if you like those songs or the styles they were done and your a hardcore Stevie stone fan then yeah your gonna buy that artists' e.p.

Are you enough of a fan to want to meet the artist and get some stuff ? if so then your gonna budget your self so u can afford to do it...but if your just doin it because u think its a "nessecity" then your missing the point. 150 bucks a package...that package helps fuel a tour, and keep the road crew members paid..the artists are living a life workin performing and it wears on you, trying to make enough money off of music to afford to keep your family fed...alot of artists have to make the choice of "full time musician and possibly not having ENOUGH success to keep your family fed" ...

if your mad about costs going up, thats understandable but the cost of living for EVERYONE in this country is going up, you have taxes, less jobs, required medical coverage for employee's who work 30 or more hours...so companies can afford ot stay in business they cut hours and hire more people...strange expands slowly to aqquire and provide jobs, There is a lot behind the scenes not everyone see's. If you have met any of the artists in the past on any o the past tours then you know how much they appreciated the fact ppl were spending their hard earned money supportin them...thats why they talk about it so much in their music,.....Independent label, paying for things and keeping it as fan orientated as they can.

Travis and Tech have been really good on and about trying to keep it fun for the fans, "hey if you like our shit then you'll buy it, or you'll play it" i mean its not liek they say "you have to buy stuff you dont like" they are offering more options for people who like a particular artist more.

you look at the vip pack and this yr the only cd's they are giving you are the eps...maybe you didnt wanna preorder them or pick them up cause u wanted to get a vip expierence so u could meet the artist etc etc...bu if you take out the eps you still have some pretty neat stuff u may have wanted but didnt wanna order cause it was too exspensive at the time, either way they wanna meet fans but they also wanna keep it controlled some artists dont do vip...and others ask for a grand or more (your basic Pop act like anyone whos currently popular on pop radio)

i mean when you look at it  they say thank you for supporting them their dreams their life style and spending your money on them, when there are any numerous other artists and acts out there or even thing u could spend ur money on you like them enough to spend it on them...im jus saying if you think a pre order is too expsensive dont buy one, you have the right and option as a fan to choose what you do or don't want ot spend money on.

I don't think the quality of the shirts are that bad and most of the stuff i do buy is during 50% of sales just because it's cheaper to buy multiple items. I think their hoodies are nice in terms of quality, the pre-order shirts aren't the best quality but i mean i've worn them to multiple places so it don't bother me but then again i ain't swag swoop swoop like some

When I bought a Strange shirt from the Absolute Power tour it was heavy and quality. When I got my last shirt with a pre order it was thin and fit small. And the styles are just kind of..I dunno below average. I like quality. So while everyone is goin Diamond Supply, I go up a notch for Pink Dolphin. I don't go down for Southpole and that's what it all reminds me if is like some Southpole shit. And I don't want to come off spoiled. Who else merchandises like Strange? But when you have the best rappers under one roof why not have the best of everything else too?
Fuck it, I'll take dope rappers and crappy clothes over crappy rappers with cool clothes.
