All me bitching. VIP packages went up $25 each. Shirts went up $5 each. You released EP's "so the fans had music to hold them over". When the real reason was to make some extra money because some of those EP's were straight garbage. You guys seem to be getting a little money hungry. Strange Music might be getting more well known and richer but most of us fans aren't. End vent

That's not true at all. If the demand is high enough, an increase in price will bring in more revenue.

I don't understand a price jump. They would make more money if they kept shit cheaper because more people will buy the products. a t-shirt should be no more than like $15-20 and a hoodie should be no more than $30-40. and cd's should be around $10.

All Im saying V.I.P should not be 150 bucks....... Should be 100 each....Why I dont do it anymore

I'm sorry to but into you guys conversation I am sorta the new guy here but I am sorry to say 150 for VIP tickets is fucking awesome forgive me if I'm wrong but can anyone name a group or artist that is still even though they are a business still trying to reach out to their fan base like strange music is I mean Alex is right strange music revenue increases but the fans doesn't but they still maintain amazingly reasonable prices and make it to where fans can still get the VIP feel without dropping a grand or two I love it shit I bought the tickets that sounded way to good to be true so I am apppologize again but Alex bro you gotta good point but you seem stuck on 25 bucks bro when most ticket prices jump up to a hundred bucks bro so if I were you bro I would enjoy it man and show some love bro they could be 325 bucks a pop
Justin, the vip prices sucks because they used to be $100 ($115 after tax/shipping) then starting on all 6s n 7s tour went up to $125 ($140 after everything) now its $150 plus tax/shipping. Idk bout yall but now unless the other headliner is absolutely worth meeting, ill no longer get the vip because it is too expensive

The t-shirts are priced right where they should be! I just looked at a whole bunch of other rapper's merch and $25 is the norm. Basically you've been getting a deal this entire time and now that they raised the price of a t-shirt for the first time in their 10+ years of doing it, you're raising a hissy fit?

What is this REALLY about?

Dude, its more than just the shirts, i dont buy strange shirts anymore so thats not a big deal for me, but shit like the vip are because i enjoy the experience but its becoming too much, its the same amount/type of merch as before yet theyre charging $50 more than 3 yrs ago? Not only that, but the quality of the merch is shitty. The clock has no numbers and ticks loud as fuck, the drawstring bag i got was ripped within 5 uses, on the keychain i got, the main part of it kept falling off so now its just the ring, its not about "they raised the prices of their merch the first time in ten yrs" its about the quality of what we're paying for. And its BS because alot of shit they sell is overpriced, have u seen the strange blanket that theyre selling for $30?? I got it on a sale and was pissed i paid $15 for it. Point is, if they're gonna raise the prices than the quality needs to match it

No reason to be sorry man. You're just giving your opinion and not being a prick like most of the people that disagree with this. Even though VIP packages are only $165 with shipping (which is cheap compared to another artist who might have a $500 VIP package) it's still a lot of money when you have bills to pay. It's great that Strange Music gives us the chance to meat our favorite artists. Not many artists do that anymore. I'm just saying switch up the VIP package merch so you really get exclusive items. And drop it back to $100 and have a first come first serve basis. I can't stand the people who claim to be a huge fan and then you will see a post on a facebook event page saying "I didn't even know Tech was coming here."

Lmao. Besides the Music, and the Shows....You shouldn't be spending money on the other crap.

wow, i come across thos thread and had to read it from begining to current befor stating my opinions. How about we look at a number of things here. Tours cost money, videos, editing merchandising, all of it costs money. I think as a fan it doesnt phase me to spend money on something if i want it. They offer differents kinds of merch if u dont rock or buy merch you still got the music or jus a live concert to se..if you can afford a meet and greet and its something you really wanna do cool, no one is pushing this down your throats. Shipping costs have gone up as have production costs, they have a full staff of people in their deartments so they have a payroll they need to adhere to.

the e.p.s are really meant for a REAL hardcore fan of the artist...cause if your a hardcore fan of that artist getting the music and supporting it you don't feel bad about cause your waiting for that next full length almost immediately .Personally I liked the e.p.s from last yr for the most part, about the only one that I didn't care for was EBAH, it wasnt a bad e.p. it grew on me a little but that one just didn't hold my attention except for the don't tweet this and that was cause of the video.

I really like ces cru, the moment i heard them on the "bad season mixtape" i liked the delivery and styles, I got to see them perform and book them and they were really humble honest dudes, really into the music, and making it quality...you can look at each artist on the label differently because everyone has their own image, and style, their own "packaged branding"  but they all have their own quality of music.

Stevie stone, after hearing his first album "new kid comin" I liked that album except for "wait a minute"  red wine, 573, rap game callin those songs were just fresh, and heavy on the beat... definitely gets me amp'ed up with energy.off the "rollin stone" you have keep my name out ya mouth, my remedy, and if you like those songs or the styles they were done and your a hardcore Stevie stone fan then yeah your gonna buy that artists' e.p.

Are you enough of a fan to want to meet the artist and get some stuff ? if so then your gonna budget your self so u can afford to do it...but if your just doin it because u think its a "nessecity" then your missing the point. 150 bucks a package...that package helps fuel a tour, and keep the road crew members paid..the artists are living a life workin performing and it wears on you, trying to make enough money off of music to afford to keep your family fed...alot of artists have to make the choice of "full time musician and possibly not having ENOUGH success to keep your family fed" ...

if your mad about costs going up, thats understandable but the cost of living for EVERYONE in this country is going up, you have taxes, less jobs, required medical coverage for employee's who work 30 or more hours...so companies can afford ot stay in business they cut hours and hire more people...strange expands slowly to aqquire and provide jobs, There is a lot behind the scenes not everyone see's. If you have met any of the artists in the past on any o the past tours then you know how much they appreciated the fact ppl were spending their hard earned money supportin them...thats why they talk about it so much in their music,.....Independent label, paying for things and keeping it as fan orientated as they can.

Travis and Tech have been really good on and about trying to keep it fun for the fans, "hey if you like our shit then you'll buy it, or you'll play it" i mean its not liek they say "you have to buy stuff you dont like" they are offering more options for people who like a particular artist more.

you look at the vip pack and this yr the only cd's they are giving you are the eps...maybe you didnt wanna preorder them or pick them up cause u wanted to get a vip expierence so u could meet the artist etc etc...bu if you take out the eps you still have some pretty neat stuff u may have wanted but didnt wanna order cause it was too exspensive at the time, either way they wanna meet fans but they also wanna keep it controlled some artists dont do vip...and others ask for a grand or more (your basic Pop act like anyone whos currently popular on pop radio)

i mean when you look at it  they say thank you for supporting them their dreams their life style and spending your money on them, when there are any numerous other artists and acts out there or even thing u could spend ur money on you like them enough to spend it on them...im jus saying if you think a pre order is too expsensive dont buy one, you have the right and option as a fan to choose what you do or don't want ot spend money on.

Yes the VIP prices are cheaper then most artist but I bought VIP for this tour because of the artists that are performing. Everyone going out this time I'm a fan of therefore I wanted to buy VIP. I did VIP two years ago and yes it sucks the price went up but to me it's worth it this time to meet Ces Cru & Rittz & Lynch who I'm a fan of (I already met Kutt, Kali & Tech before but no problems w/ meet and greet again). I guess it depends on if you wanna meet said artists or your fav from Strange then you'll buy. But I agree about all the shit that comes w/ it. I usually buy the Eps when they come out not knowing that they'll be included in tour package and I dont need the other shit. I think they should give fans an option for what kind of "VIP package" we want like only Meet & Greet w/ a couple items for like 100 so we have a choice. Just my opinion.

Listen, I just finished school for advertising and have read almost every post on this topic. Here's what I have to say. Most people are not understanding, and contradicting themselves. Its impossible for strange to keep growing and reaching more people and keep costs low at the same time. The more fans = the more shows they have to do which = more money spent on Lighting, screens, merch, travel costs, employee's, etc.... How is it possible for them to grow so much so fast and keep all merch at same price and release less material. It just doesn't make sense. Look at everyother label out there independant or mainstream. They are a looooot worse. Example young money. YMCMB clothing is like 30+ for shirts and more for pants, a VIP package would be a rediculous price and for a shirt and maybe a chance for a pic with the artist thts it. Not to mention with their 15+ roster you only recieve maybe 5 new material a year combined from everyone. If your lucky. Im extremely proud to be a strange fan and have a new batch of music from my favourite artists to listen too every few months. That's amazing that they can produce that. If tech made his EP's into mixtape's and released them for free we would be paying more for LP's to make up for the lost money from a free mixtape. Its a circle. They grow, prices got up. Be thankful they offer an 18$ LP signed with a T-shirt and automatic download of a bonus track, nobody does that. I'll pay 6$ anyday to get 7 brand new songs and an autograph. They take time out of their schedules to sign 5000+ copies or w.e it is they hit, im fine paying 6$. Same price as iTunes + I get bonus material.
They are going to hit a maximum I can guarentee you that. The main reason is ticket price + merch. They are not charging extra for their time. They will limit the amount of merch put into a pack eventually were not gunna get 100 items. So that's that. Next is the ticket price. Strange is still small enough to play clubs and small venues so the tickets prices will reach a maximum as well although we are not there yet. Expect a bigger increase like 200$+ if they offer merch+meet & greet+ a ticket to a stadium venue with 20,000 plus seats. Until then expect not much more of an increase for VIP
