Does anyone else think this needs to happen?

Permalink Reply by Dom Guzzman on May 28, 2012 at 7:30pm are you actually mentally retarted? Like honestly I'm asking because what you're now saying is every Tech collabos album is a group album? So Tech N9ne is in a group with every person from every Collabos album because he did one song with them? That's pretty much what you're trying to argue with me right now. Ya know I just wanted to have a nice conversation about how cool it would be to get a whole album of cool Strange Music collaboration's, but some people like you and Alex M are just too stupid to let that happen aren't you?

I understand it counts as techs studio albums, but when u look at the tracklist n features it might as well be a group album. Dom guzman hOw was that hard to understand? U really must b stupid if u cant figure that out
Stranger said:Ryan, I think you got that one wrong mate. The Collabos series still count as Tech's studio albums, just with more of an emphasis on collaborations, hence the title of the series "Tech N9ne COLLABOS". Although WTSL features only Strange Music artists, it's still another of TECH's studio albums and so focal point is STILL on TECH. His other Collabos albums clearly suggest that they weren't made just for Strange Music features; Crooked I, Yukmouth, Glasses Malone, Devin the Dude etc are also featured and they are not label mates.
So by OP specifying that it's a STRANGE MUSIC Group Album, something that clearly suggests an album that balances the weight of contribution to the whole roster and not just Tech, and NOT another Tech N9ne Collabos album, suggests that he's perfectly fine in enquiring about this.
Ryan said:Yea u should have, because every collabos album is pretty much a group album n tech happens to be on everysong, how hard would it have been to put "like an album thats only strange artists with less focus on tech n more on everyone else" before what u wrote? U are now just making excuses to be lazy and stupid, go eat weed burglars pussy u lazy idiot
Dom Guzzman said:I said a Strange Music Group album, and you all assumed I meant another Tech N9ne album with all Strange features. I shouldn't have to put that in the post you dumbass.
Ryan said:I u included that in thd post, u wouldnt have had this issue stupid
Dom Guzzman said:This is exactly what I was talking about, but yet again Alex M comes in with the butthurt.
Stranger said:I think OP means an album that perhaps hasn't got as much focus on Tech.
Yes, WTSL was trying to emulate what most of you were thinking but it's stilled called a TECH N9NE Collabos album. What I believe OP is suggesting is like more tracks where it's, say, Krizz Kaliko - Deadly Sickness (feat. Kutt Calhoun & Prozak) or Mayday - Rough (feat. Jay Rock, Brotha Lynch Hung & Ces Cru) rather than just Tech N9ne feat. whoever (those were all just made up songs btw lol).
I think it's a really good idea, it gives other artists on Strange a more prominant role.

Permalink Reply by EMStaz on May 28, 2012 at 8:59pm That's like saying "If you want a new [insert artist here] album, just put some of their old stuff on a playlist and act like you've never heard it before."
New material is what they're after. New features, new collaborations, new. New. There have been plenty of signings on SM, and plenty of growth from the artists.
Also, my .02 on the debate going on in this thread:
Tech N9ne Collabos = Tech N9ne featuring a whole bunch of other people
Strange Music Group Album = Members of SM all collaborating with other SM members, NOT "Tech N9ne feat. ____" on every song.
Not the same thing.

if you want a strange music group cd then take 17 of the best songs they have put out and make a mix tape and burn it to cd or put it on your ipod. Problem solved.

Permalink Reply by Dom Guzzman on May 29, 2012 at 12:05am So now that the arguing about what a group album is we can now talk about said album. What collabs would everyone like to see on this album?
Permalink Reply by Alex M on May 29, 2012 at 12:19am So you want something with the same concept as the Strictly Strange 08 Sampler.
