Strange Music goin' down... What d'y'all think ?
Okay, first of all, if you don't agree with what I say, don't hate okay ? This is just my opinion.
I'm not an old day listener like most of you guys, I started listenin' to Tech when he released Sickology 101. Then I listened to most of his past albums : Anghellic, AP, Everready, Killer, MLK, and every shit he's been puttin' out after. Then I heard about Krizz and Kutt, and I listened to Vitiligo and Feature Presentation, and LOVED it. Then Big Scoob, Brotha Lynch, etc...
Now what I mean is that recently, I feel a real change amongst the three "main" artists of Strange. I mean, for most of people, Tech is selling out, plus the recent announcement of the song with Wayne, the pic with Waka Floka, the Kabosh turnin' into a Detox... A lot of people say Tech is goin' mainstream.
About Krizz, I loved Vitiligo, really. Then I listened to Genius. Something different, but I still liked it. Thing is, I feel like Kali is gettin' a big head. I read his interviews, saw some Ustreams, and I'm seeing the guy is clamin' to be the King of Pop ? Dude ain't got no imagination. King Of Pop is MJ, everyone knows that. So the guy is putting himself at the level of MJ... C'mon... And the guy sayin' "Stripper Dance" (I think the song is called like that) will definitely be the best stripper anthem in the world ? Come on... And recently the sampler of Shock Treatment... Damn... This is garbage to my opinion. And I saw a lot of people who agreed. I heard about autotuned shit, pop shit... Damn...
And Kutt, I feel like he's the third wheel for the two others. He's getting more and more apart. He wasn't even aware of the last Ustream at XXL (now some people will say he was busy and I don't know, only thing I know is he's always apart), and with his song "Calling My Name", I don't feel like he's really motivated to rap anymore...
What do y'all think about it ? I know we're supposed to support our artists, and I will, but, am I the only one who feel like there's been a sudden change in Strange Music ?

Let opinions be opinions, but in the end, Tech is gonna do what he wants and deserves the support of his long-time fans for watching him get there. No matter who he collabs with we all know he is going to kill his part.

I feel strange music is still the shit. I know that by listening to everyone elses music that you can see the change because our lives change everyday. Most rappers rap about whats goping on in their lives and how it affects them, at least real rappers and tech is deff. a real rapper. But yet even though he has changed, in my opinion i feel its a positive change and a change for the better. More exposure and building up starnge music to be a power house in the rap industry. I mean look at his journey, all throug out the AP days it was all about his climb to the top, and now that he's getting there, people are having trouble excepting that, i mean isnt that what we were all behind him for in the first place ? all his albums we stood behind him saying "this is the one, this albums gunna blow and send him to the top !", and even though it didnt, every album did help him break down some more of the walls of the industry, and now hes very close to breakin the whole damn wall down and its to much for some to comprehend because of their fear that he will complelty turn his back on his own originality and become a puppet of what every fan of the main stream wants to see. I personally feel this will not happen and that he will bring his originalty to the mainstream and change the mainstream. My opinion.

Ok I see we are on this topic AGAIN! These are the only ones I ever comment on! Most of you will never have the honor of sitting down and having a real conversation with any of these guys. I dont mean "hey man love your shit" at a meet in greet I mean a real convo! I have and they are some of the deepest conversations I have ever been involved in. I believe until you get this honor you should keep your mouths shut about where they are going with the music. If you are a real fan like you all claim then you know the pain that Tech has been going thru, why you would not want to see him move out of the dark and into a better place in his life is beyond me! Obviously Tech has always wrote about what is going on in his life so if right now he is enjoying himself and partying and fuckin hoes then that is what he is going to write about! Thats how it has always been! Whatever state he is in in his life is where his music is. Turn your back if you want but dont bash him or his music on his own site!
I dont know about Kali claiming the King of Pop, Ive heard him say the King of Hip-Pop before tho. I feel If he wants to claim a genre that hasnt even been created by all means he should be able to.lol Kali is extremely talented and has earned his dues. With the life he has had he deserves for his head to swell a little if thats what you think is happening. I personally have never met more humble artist who love their fans to do the things these guys do.
As far as Kutt goes....Well people like you who talk about him and say he is loosing interest in rapping or is loosing his focus are the problem. He is ultra talented and is trying to reach out to you guys as an artist but because he isnt exactly as "strange" as you would like you are rejecting him and his music.
All I gotta say is get the sicle out your mouths! Either support or step! Its that easy, and as far as Strange going mainstream God I hope so it would be so nice to have some talent back on the radio.

Damn. i like the new shit, but it just isn't the same as what i m used to. But i still believe in my nigga Tech because maybe right now shit aint as dope as fuckin anghellic but most of the time when i buy techs new cd i listen to it and am not super impressed by every song. But after about a week maybe 2 weeks of bumping the shit i fall in love with each and every verse. But nigga thats just me. I think Tech just needs a little break, that would probably let him take a look at what is going on and maybe a vacation will sort of clear his slate and let him start over. idk thats my opinion.Stay STRANGE!!!

Personally. I don't give a shit who he collabs with. I don't care if he's famous. I want him to be famous. But I want him to be famous for the good shit. Which seems to be fading right now. All 6's and 7's will be the kicker for me. I feel like I don't have to have a face to face deep convo with an artist to be able to judge their music. I expect them to create that feel of a deep conversation through their music, which is what i'm used to in Tech. We're the fucking consumers we can judge whatever the hell we want regardless of whether you personally know them or not. If 6's and 7's is a mainstream sounding let-down. I will have no problem only buying kutty releases. A true fan doesn't sit back and praise bull shit from their favorite artist just because they're their favorite.
By the way, I think Tech is way too talented to NEED to be depressed to make good music. TGMP let me down though, granted it was only a collabo so i still have some hope. But he doesnt NEED to be depressed.
