Tech is just too complex for the average hip hop fan. Not only does he flip styles multiple times throught the course of a song, the music is so well done and has so many layers. That is why I fell in love with Tech and Krizz's music. The complex musicality of it all is just amazing to me. They are true artist and performers while many rappers are either one or the other (or none at all). Many people just want club bangers to ride to and that's ok but they truly have no clue about what real rap music is. No shame in that, some of us just use music for different reasons. I like to listen and absorb the music while disecting the lyrics. Strange Music has the market cornered when it comes to true, engulfing music.
Permalink Reply by Tony Armola on June 9, 2011 at 8:57am He rhymes too much lol my delicate hears can't handle the Absolute Power. What is wrong with people today? Hip hop is coming back to life and it is probably thanks to tech creepin his way into the game.
Also they pri used to wayne an khalifia where they barely rhyme then pause like 4 times in the middle of their verses to either do some stupid laugh or be like .....yah. Its crap

I respect that Jay can admit it. Tech has never dumbed down shit. One of the many reasons he's the be(a)st. Welcome new fans, but if you don't "get" it, be quiet and observe.

First of all, rhymes too much? Are people fucking stupid?
Secondly, he's uses the most complex rhymes out there..the line that got me into Tech was "fuck you, you treated me, stupid and conceitedly"...I was like "shit, I didn't know rappers knew 4 syllable words"...He's become one of my favorite performers ever since (and that's PERFORMERS, not just rappers).
And anyone who thinks Wayne went harder (or either of the former subjects) clearly knows nothing of linguistics.
I think the problems are: he raps too fast for them, he uses words they don't know, his references are too sharp, his structure is too complex, they're mildly retarded.
These are probably the same people who think "Cat Daddy," "Teach Me How to Dougie," and anything by Soulja Boi aren't complete fucking garbage.

Permalink Reply by jay budd on June 9, 2011 at 11:48am They're probably used to hearing crap so they don't know what to do when they hear true talent.

Permalink Reply by TreeBear37 on June 9, 2011 at 1:36pm No matter what there are always going to be haters, not everybody is going to love Tech. Just like not everybody loves Eminem, Jay Z, and Wayne, but there are people who will tell you that they are the best in the game right now. It's all subjective to your taste. A lot of simple minded people like really simple minded music. Whereas with Tech you get real, raw, complex, intricate, and dope lyrics with a flow that is unmatched. It's hard for people to accept some things, people love to hate.
