You guys think Strange should grab as much talent as they can? Or focus more on the artists they have now?

If so, who should they sign?

Nothing like being made to look silly to make you want to know your facts so I had to give Jay Rock a serious spin this morning on my way in to work. As I said before, I only previewed the album and the first real track, Code Red, starts off with a piano riff that just screams Dr Dre so that instantly put me off the first two times I had tried listening, not b/c I dislike Dre, but b/c that's just not my thing anymore, been there, done that.

After actually LISTENING to the album I'll still say it's not exactly my thing, but that's fine, just b/c I don't like something doesn't mean I think it sucks, in fact I wouldn't say I don't like Jay Rock, I'm just not "hood" enough I guess, lol. He does have talent but I might like him more if he was part of a group like Slaughterhouse or Wu Tang, where he had other people to offset some things but that's just me. Like on "You Owe Like Pookie", Tech and Kutt are kind of clowning around, their verses are more joking around like an 816 Boys track and then Jay Rock comes in all serious and hard so that was my least favorite verse but this has forced me to LISTEN to Jay Rock and actually absorb his music and style so thanks for that, he moves up on my list above Rittz for now and there's at least a chance I'll give him another spin and not just write him off as "too gangsta".

lol, I got it the first time but thanks for the reminder. I already stated I didn't know anything about him but it is rather ironic that everything I've said past my first post has been a setup for a joke about not knowing anything about Jay Rock,

I did look up Black Hippy though and I found that Jay Rock had at least 2 albums before that I had forgotten about seeing and there are a few Black Hippy songs here and there so I downloaded some more stuff, I'm learning, slowly but I'm learning.
