Strange definitely needs someone from the East Coast. It will bring more exposure to the label.

I agree, sign other artists other then fast spitters and dudes from the Midwest...nothing against them or the region at all but they do need to add a different kinda flair to the roster, which is why I feel that some East Coasters(NYC, Jersey, Philly, Boston, Maryland, DC) would be a good addition....cuz it's way too crowded and not enough diversity

I see you definitely skipped a large portion of my comment but ok...

There is already enough diversity, and actually most artists they signed recently do not rap fast. Prozak, Ces Cru, Stevie Stone, Jay Rock, non of these dudes rap fast. They are yet to sign a single chopper to strange music label.

No Nesto...No.

JL of BHood or Nesto the Owner are the 2 I think should be signed to Strange. Tech hasn't worked with Nesto since Bad Season though.
Your statement is rather ignorant and vague, but also your opinion....if you're gonna say that it should be perdominantly a midwest label and KC being the stronghold for the midwest, then the west coast mcs and mayday might as well jump off the label...who are u to try and educate me and make it seem as though NY emcees are limited to the Nas, Jay-z dudes? Matta fact, there are some fast spittin NY rappers...and once again, NYC is the birthplace and mecca of hip hop..SM/Tech has been gettin themselves out here a lot more often if you wanna really challenge the politics....how is a label supposed to grow as a diverse unit if you don't expand to other elements of music?! If you expect Tech and Kaliko to do it all, then it might as well be a 2 person effort..getcha facts straight homie

oh and NOT EVERY RAPPER FROM THE MIDWEST RAPS FAST!!!

I'm so surprised that that's your opinion based on your name.

They need to sign more fast rappers and keep it Midwest.

they don't need to sign anyone else and if they did I'd say re-sign Skatterman & Snug Brim!!!  Along with put more music out they should be putting out if not an EP or LP but release a new single every month straight to itunes!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_4zAYMUzsk no way. this kid right here i came across today and wow he has to  be the illest thnag ive seen in alongg time!! strange needs to sign this dude!! crazy

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hip_hop_music

Tech AND East coast emcees have been in communication, whether signings or collabos were involved it has happened, if NY NEVER fucked with the Midwest, why would Biggie have BTNH on "Notorious Thugs", and why would JAY-Z have Twista on the ROC??!?! again, not everyone in the East Coast, Midwest, West Coast or whatever region have the same fuckin style of rapping, why would Busta Rhymes be on WWC?! NOT to also mention, Tech even said so himself, he started flippin words from listening to Slick Rick "Lick The Balls"

http://blog.therealtechn9ne.com/2011/02/tech-n9ne/slick-ricks-influ...

Again, when and where in tech's career has he not cited east coast rappers as part of his influence for fast rapping again?!

Yates says that he is influenced by Old school hip hop, and specifically cites Slick Rick, N.W.A, Public Enemy, Boogie Down Productions, Eric B. & Rakim, Schoolly D, Biggie Smalls and Just-Ice.[18] He is also interested in other genres of music, and lists The Doors, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Elton John, AC/DC, Metallica, Floetry, Outkast, and Gnarls Barkley as influences. He's remarked generally that "I love beautiful music, beautiful music no matter what type

since you love Midwest Choppers so much, YOU should sign to strange music...IF THAT IS YOU ARE A "MIDWEST CHOPPER"

Dude I went to Tech N9Ne concert in Vegas, far away from the Midwest, the crowd gave the most pop for rapid fire, faster songs like Welcome to the Midwest and Midwest Choppers. Its obvious that Midwest style is popular way outside the region and Strange must keep it that way. And Rap never originated in NY, a certain style of rap started in NY, just like certain styles started in Memphis and yet another style started in L.A. If you want to be really technical about this, fast rap originated in Memphis, later making its way into the Midwest.

My point is why should Tech reach out to east coast rappers, if so many talented rappers in the Midwest need exposure. Tech has been helping artists from his hometown by signing them to his label and I give him mad props for doing it. Major labels has been avoiding Midwest like a plague, with an exception of few sell outs like Kanye. So why should Tech fuck with East Coast and if East Coast don't fuck with us. There are many rappers in the Midwest that need to shine like C Mob or King Sandman, NY had its glory, now let us put Midwest on the map. And if we begin to rap slow and sound like we from NY, what benefit is it to us? The Legendary Traxter from Chicago has a song called "New York New York" download that song dude and you will realize that we want no part of NY.

whatever you say man, that was in the past and sometimes seeing things from a different perspective is what makes the human mind grow and stay active....but your opinion and mine are different in it's value and what we know...i don't care...oh and by the way I meant get yourself on SM as a midwest chopper out of SARCASM!

Sign myself to strange music? And how do I do that? The decisions are made by Tech not by me, you are a trip for real lol

And yes I know that Tech has been influenced by old school and I know he gives props to the east coast. But I don't. So big Biggie feat Bone Thugs one time, big deal Jay Z feat. Twista, those are isolated examples dude. Overall NY looks down on the Midwest and you cannot argue that. When I lived in Chicago I used to travel to NY every six months, I knew a lot of folks in Chicago rap game and what they thought about NY and what NY thought about us. NY never appreciated rapid fire delivery, nor did they care for our production or out or nothing. Yeah Busta Rhymes raps fast but he doesn't rap Midwest his beats and his delivery are still East coast. I talked to thousands of NY rap fans and none of them liked Midwestern rap. They all complained that they don't understand the lyrics and shit like that. If Tech wants to fuck with East Coast and sign their rappers that's his deal, but I won't support it, nor will other true technicians from Chi.
